Coffee on Monorail and Buses?

I was wondering if you are able to take coffee cups on the monorail and on the buses? Planning on getting a cup of joe at the Poly before the day begins.

we picked up a bunch of travel cups from a local convienence store here before we left with the lids... We had a coffee maker in our room at ASMovies (I brought it) and we'd fill up our throw away cups just before leaving for the parks..and toss em in the garbage upon entering...(they were empty by then)..

Just about everyone had cups of something on the buses!!

Technically speaking, eating and drinking is prohibited on all Disney transportation. Most Monorail CMs won't really mind, and some bus drivers don't mind. However, there are many drivers that will not allow food or beverages onto the buses.

It's not allowed for two reasons -- first, people are messy, by intentionally or unintentionally. Trash and messes get left behind all the time.

The other reason is a safety reason. Say for example you're eating something, and the bus driver has to slam on the brakes -- you could potentially start choking.

But at any rate... all said and done, just please be careful, and don't make a mess.
