coffee makers at the GF?

Can you get a coffee maker at the GF? Do I wait and ask at checkin or call housekeeping? I know there is coffee in the lobbies at the GF, but hubby wants hot water for oatmeal in the mornings and the kids like hot chocolate on cold evenings. Thanks for the info.

I think the coffee makers might already be in the room. I don't drink coffee or need hot water. But it seems like there was a coffee maker in the room one of our trips.

If it's not there, call housekeeping once you get to your room. Housekeeping is responsible for the coffe maker, mini fridge, microwave, etc.

I have been to the GF several time and don't remember about the Coffee Pot. Also, is it a small 2 cup one or regular size one?

We've never had one in any of our rooms. I'm pretty sure you need to request it from housekeeping.

Stayed at the GF in Jan 02 over the course of the 10 day stay I called 3 times to get a coffee maker and was told each time that they didn't give out coffee makers and I should order room service if I wanted coffee!

This being said I have read reports of people requesting them since my trip and being able to get one. Seems pretty hit or miss. The best I can offer is that they are not standard equipment in the rooms when you check in.

Give housekeeping a call once you are there and hope for the best!

This is why my mom always travels with her beloved coffee pot!

My little 4 cup coffeemaker has become my faithful companion on my Disney trips.

I take my favorite Starbucks beans, plus some tea bags and hot cocoa mix.

Doesn't take up too much room in the suitcase, and tastes lots better than the Nescafe stuff (yuck) available at most of the on property locations.

I set it up at night so I can just hit the "brew" switch when the alarm goes off in the morning...

Thanks for the info. DH decided just to bring his small one with him. We're driving so it's not a big deal. But you'd think it wouldn't be a big problem to get a coffee maker. Oh well. I don't drink coffee and don't care anything about oatmeal so this is all DH's deal!!

We stayed at Boca Chica in late Sept->early Oct. and there were no coffee makers for the room, but there was a nice coffee and tea service setup in the open atrium on the main floor.

MUCH nicer than dealing with a mini coffee maker like I see at so many other hotels these days. YMMV.

Hot water is available in Gasparillas 24 hours if you don't mind walking to get it. Also, hot chocolate is also available for free once a refillable cup is purchased.
