Wow...I 've been trip planning for DD who is there in mid Sept. and getting ADR's is NOT EASY!!

I've NEVER had this much trouble, especially during slow season, even with free dining.

Luckily I made some ADRs early but was hoping to be able to make some changes. Haven't been able to get R&C, Ohana, Le Cellier for the entire stay.

Does anyone have suggestions of good times to check back in case of cancellations? Does Dis on line always match up with what you can get if you call direct?

It doesn't help with planning but you might want to check 1 or 2 days prior to your desired date. With the new cancellation policy there are, bound to be last minute cancellations to avoid the penalty.

I've found that each resource only has X amount of available bookings. I.E. - only so many reservations can be booked online, then the same applies to phone, AAA, in person, concierge, etc. there is always hope. I went once with not ideal reservations. Nothing was open. At check in they had everything I wanted. Now this strategy may not apply to a place like Le Cellier. Be creative with times and party size if you can.

I knew that someone cancelled an ADR and tried for almost 20 mins to get it online. I was about to give up hope when I decided to call in and sure enough it was available. Not overly convinced about how fast it appears online.
