I know people suggest ordering coffee the night before and say it will still be warm in morning, but we were wondering why can't you order it right away when you get up if room service is 24 hours. We wouldn't order any breakfast with it just coffee. Can this be done?

I actually never understood the practice of ordering coffee the night before and letting it sit....Sure, it may be warm when you get up, but it certainly wont be fresh....I would rather put the breakfast placard outside my door the night before, and have a hot, fresh carafe of coffee delivered in morning....or, if I wasnt sure what time I was getting up, I would call room service as soon as I woke up....the wait , at most would be 30 minutes....

They have a card that you can fill out the night before and hang outside the room it has a light menu and times that you perfer it to be delivered to your room, they always called first befre bringing it to the room I ordered Coffee every morning for wife and myself plus a light meal for my DS(5) You can order just Coffee or a light meal

Avoids having the little ones woke up by room service knocking on the door... :-)

That is important when you have little ones.

I like my coffee hot & fresh so the card the night before works for me. The knock on the door is my wake up call, kinda like having breakfast in bed! Woo hoo!!!! Can't wait!

Well, the problem with the card is that would be too late. She is an early riser even on days off or vacations (like 5am) and I believe the first delivery time on the door card is 7am. SO she could wake up at 5 and call and order just coffee delivered though?

Thanks, Pacha

Sure she can...tho' like many of us...she just might want to go to deck 9 in her jammies & get REALLY fresh coffee... :goodvibes

We ordered the night before ONE time. The plastic carafe they brought it in did not keep it warm, much less hot. It is better to either put the card out, call and wait 30 min, or go to deck 9. They did bring it in carafes that appeared that it might stay warm a couple of mornings, but the plastic ones just don't do the job.

Ours NEVER stayed warm-Yuck it was terrible. Ended up going to Deck 9
and grabbing a couple of cups anyway. Took all of 5 minutes.

When you order the night before, you must specify the Stainless Carafe!

If you are like me, 30 mins is way tooooo long to wait for that first cup of Java!

Ask DD, she'll tell ya, 15 mins tops or else!LOL

We like to use Room Service as our wake-up call, so I say order it for morning delivery. But if you have little ones, definitely call in the morning rather than put out the card. Believe me, they are VERY prompt so if you use the card, they will be knocking at your door right at the specified time. If you call when you get up, they are very prompt and your coffee will be guaranteed hot.

We have a 5 yr old DD..but that's not why I don't have room service deliver my coffee. I'm an early riser also and on both of the previous Magic cruises...there is just something about heading up to deck 9 early in the morning for that first cup! There is hardly anyone around..it's always beautiful..the coffee is fresh...and it makes for a great start to another amazing day on that beautiful ship!
