DH is a coffee addict. During our Dec trip we were at the Sheraton. DH didn't get his coffee fix there, so he spent a great deal of time searching in the park for good coffee...(hard to find.)

So my question is, is GCH under the same Nestle contract as DL and DCA? If so, I will be bringing our own coffee set up...that way precious time isn't spent searching for a new place to try out the coffee!:headache:

Same.

Though the coffee at Storytellers tasted much different than the coffee elsewhere...the server told me that they use a different nescafe blend.

FYI Haagen Dasz sells Peets espresso drinks, and Compass Books has something called Koffee Klatch, which seems to be a so cal coffee company.

I *think* the contract with Nestle is now over, although I'm not sure if they've changed from the Nescafe yet.

Sadly, Compass books is now gone, their coffee was pretty good. I believe La Brea Bakery, or the kiosk right outside of it sells Starbucks. Also BakersField bakery (in the train in DCA) actually roasts their own coffee, so they didn't use the Nescafe either. (At least that was what they told me.)

Good luck on your coffee search!

Thank you! I am excited to hear that he can get Peet's...that is his favorite! I will probably still bring our own set up, so he can "perk up" first thing in the morning!

Has it been announced who will take over the Nescafe contract?

They also sell some decent specialty drinks in the Lounge/Bar area in the morning.

I don't think it is Nescafe in the rooms at GCH.

Also Hearthstone Lounge at GCH may have different coffee too (not nescafe), but somebody else may be able to confirm that.

Seriously? I hadn't read about that at all!

Yes..I had seen it somewhere also that they closed :(
No one was ever in there when I went in, so I'm not surprised...

That would be a bummer. It is/was one of my favorite places to go.
