Hello- I am trying to plan a trip for Feb 2009. I have always booked direct with disney but am considering using AAA this time. Their price is a little cheaper, but now-a-days any little bit counts.
Anyways, I was wondering if you book with AAA and a code comes out for something like free park hopper passes, can you use this code with a AAA package?

Thanks,
Triplet Princess Mom

I have a related question about this subject. I hope someone knows the answer. If you book with AAA and then a code comes out that is a better deal, will the AAA travel agent apply this code instead or do you have to cancel your AAA reservation and rebook through Disney? I will be booking a trip for Nov 2009 after the first of the year. I know we wouldn't know about any codes for November 2009 until later in the year (unless we are lucking and get an email code) and was just wondering how this could be handled. I will be booking for a Grand Gathering so I don't want a lot of problems for everyone if we have to rebook.

You may want to consider booking your own trip directly with Disney and using the AAA rate. You'll get the same AAA price and avoid the horror show that I and others have had using AAA so-called "travel agents."

You can only book room only AAA discount with Disney directly.

If you want a package you must book with AAA directly to get the AAA discount - no exceptions.

Moving this thread over to the Codes and Rates boards.. it's a best fit there.

Thanks,

We have a AAA package booked for this December. Our TA told us explicitly several times, and I asked her specifically on several different occasions, that if a DISNEY offer or promotion comes out that would apply to our dates/tickets, etc...that we would get a refund for the difference. For instance, if the free dining would have occurred during our dates, we should have been refunded for the dining plans that we paid for.

Now, having said that, there haven't been any discounts offered that would apply to us yet, but I just read on another site that there may be a Disney promotion being released tomorrow that would apply to us. I'm hoping it's true and that we'll get our refund! :wizard:

I don't know how applying a code to an already booked package with AAA would work...

I just paid my deposit today with my AAA TA for Jan 2009. I asked her the same question. she said yes she could absolutely apply any other code I may get but I only get AAA or the code not both. But whatever worked out to be cheaper on my end she'd go with. My agent was fabulous. I gave her all kinds of headaches because I kept changing my mind. she finally got disney to give us the AAA discount on a bunkbed room as I was going to book two rooms and wait and see what ended up being the better deal (WL bunkbed or Poly garden... without AAA discount on WL room it was going to be same cost for Poly with the AAA discount).

I booked our last trip through AAA and had a great experience. We booked for September of 07 before the Free DIning Promotion had been released. Upon the promotion being released, we were told that our code had been changed and ended up saving something like $550 instead of the $150 we would have saved using the AAA rate for our room.

Great savings if you ask me! We will be booking with AAA again in October for our September 09 trip.

Not all AAA agents are terrible.I have one thati have been working with for years and have never ever had a single problem. You find bad ta's everywhere even ones that have gone thru disney's college of knowledge program.

correct - our TA was up at 6:30am and adjusted our res without me calling. Sent an email and lowered a 1650 rez down to 1414.
