Codes at Deluxe resorts?

It seems like the people staying on codes at Deluxe resorts end up booking deluxe concierage or some kind of special view. Can you just get a standard room on a code? I can't afford more than $200/night--looking at CR or BW.

Yes, I've had a standard view with a code at AKL, Poly. CR & GF.

Just keep checking both on the phone and on line.

I got courtyard at WL for $198. I think woods view, whish is also nice is $175, CR garden wing was quoted to me for ~$240. Granted, this is peak season, April 1-5. We have stayed at the CR for $149 a night during the summer with a GEorgia resident code that I got from my Sunday paper so it does happen. Boardwalk is always on the high side as are GF, Poly, and YC & PC. Of the deluxes I find that WL, CR and AKL are your more reasonable ones. We went three times this year alone, stayed offsite on Spring Break because I had not found this board yet and waited too late to book. Rack rate then was aweful, we had paid ~300 + a night for the same CR garden wing room the spring break before with no code. Codes definitely save you money!

I have tried to get CR garden wing but only the Tower is available for the dates I've tried (I've tried all 7 day options in January)...the Tower is about $260 a night...I had the Beach Club resort for $214 the last week of January...then changed it to the Grand Floridian for $265 garden view standard....the main reason I changed was because they said the Beach Club slide was being repainted and would be closed that month....but on the website I checked it said the "mail" slide...is that the main slide at Beach club or is it a smaller one? If the big one is open I may consider saving the extra money and trying to rebook Beach...guess I'll call CM's and ask...let ya know...what were the dates you were travelling? Keep calling back....things open up daily.
