Codes and packages?

Can you use room codes with vacation packages?
My girlfriend and I might be going to WDW in Feb for a week, and we're doing the Silver package (2 wishes a day) this way we can eat at places that we never would go to if we were "really paying" for the food.
I plan on using Dreams Unlimited, but I;m wondering if codes are valid with packages. So if I book the trip now, but a month from now rooms are 50 bucks cheaper, can I get the price adjustment? Or is it like whatever price you book with a package, you're stuck with.

Generally if you book with a package, you're stuck with what you paid. Most of the discounts Disney offers are for room only reservations. If you want to go "a la carte" with your trip, you could save a bundle, but usually the packages aren't discounted. Sometimes you can see a discount that offers tickets as well, but very rarely will one be offered that includes meals also.

Last year we got a discount code I was able to use on our Discovery Magic Package. I guess not all codes will work but some do. Keep trying. I saved a few hundred off the Disney Institute - definately worth the extra effort, I think!

YES, you definitely can get a code rate with a package, in fact the current "Embrace the Magic" package has the same discounted room rate built into the package, and there is a Discovery Magic (or Silver Plan for next year) option with the current promotion.

No discounts other than Disney Club discounts have been released for next year yet, but if you book with Dreams they will continue to monitor for discounts and will have any available applied to your reservation. And yes, they can get a price adjustment on a package, they do it all the time.

We're also going early in December with the Discovery Magic packages (this year's version of the wishes program), and a couple of months ago I was lucky enough to spot a discount code that worked for that particular vacation package. Almost everything stayed the same. The one thing we did have to give up was the preferred viewing for the parades and fireworks. On the other hand, the savings for 4 adults was close to $1500!
A fair trade-off, in my opinion.

It may not happen often, but vacation package discounts can happen. Just keep your eyes open.
