Codes, and Non-Codes Ressies - WL Dec 10 - 14 Good Deal ?

After spending about an hour on the phone with a very sweet and kind person from WDW and going through all sorts of dates and scenarios and codes etc., - we tentatively decided on:

Dec 10 - 14 (M - Fri) at the Wilderness Lodge, courtyard view - "NO" discount with the park tickets available for $2,477.77. I'm wondering is that like absolutely paying through the nose or is that ok ?

Because - we could get Dec 17 - 21 (again M - Fri) with tickets - with the code ZUE that's posted for $2,183.01 - so not really 'that' much savings ?

I'm just really trying to get "WL" because of the magic of the Christmas season there and I dont think that's comparable to any other resort at that time - I'm probably nuts, but that's just kinda my feeling !!!

This is going to be a trip with just me, mom and my two boys (my dad and hubby do NOT want to go !) - so I'm thinking M - Fri will be enough, and I just really want some holiday magic you know ? Please let me know your thoughts !!! Thank you

If it were me, I'd try those dates with a room only reservation, trying AAA, codes CCE or CCF and then buy tickets separately. I think you'll do much better pricewise that way.

You can buy tickets from Disney or you can get discounted ones from places like Mapleleaftickets.com or Undercovertourist.com. Make sure you figure in any shipping, tax and processing charges when adding up your ticket cost. Disney's prices sometimes LOOK better, but they tack on a bunch of extra stuff at the end.
