Code question ...

If you get ahold of a code AFTER you have booked and paid in full (or partially paid) can you apply the code to that reservation and get a refund for the code difference?

No-they would cancel your ressie and make a new one. You can call and ask them to price out the new code to see if its cheaper so that they dont cancel you and you loose out on a good deal while you have it. If its more than 45 days prior to your trip-you can have them refund the paid in full/partially paid ressie and rebook the new trip but they cant switch in the middle. You'll get a whole new confiration #.
We booked in Jan and then in May I was told we could have free dining-woohoo-well we called and before we canceled the reservationist said-you have a great code and free dining might not be worth it-lets just see if this new one can help before you cancel-it actaully would have cost me another thousand dollars for the same room to add "free dining"-we kept our paid in full original reservation. Free dining wasnt so free-for us....Hope this helped!

Wohhhhhhhhhh you answered my question before I posted it ...

Am I going to win the lottery?

Dont need free dining either, but if a code popped up that would reduce rack rate at YC I might be interested.

There is a code to the general public for BC/YC. We just changed our ressie dropping free dining and booking room only. $249.00 a night for Garden View plus tax. Better than rack rate. I can live on hamburgers as long as I have a nice room and I'm at Disney. Actually I can live on the ice cream at Beaches and Cream for the week!

Too bad its the totally wrong info. If you have a package and get a code you can apply it and get a refund. If you have a room only and get a room only code you can get a refund. If you have a room only and get a discount on a package then yes, it does have to be cancelled and rebooked.

Right now we dont have any codes - but I was curious what would happen if one popped up before our booked stay. Thanks.

Even if youre already booked and payed in full if you get a code that applies to your reservation you can modify it.

So, if I do have a room only and get a package code I want to use, then they will cancel and rebook me, right? So, do they rebook using my same room I already had reserved? Or is it possible there are no other rooms available and when they let my original room go first, that I can't get one back? (I would still want to stay at CBR). Like, someone snatches up the newly available ressie in those few minutes? Is that possible or doesn't that question even make any sense? But, if I did want to switch resorts, that would depend whether they had any rooms left or not, right? Sorry to be so confusing, hope someone can figure out my question! Thanks! :goodvibes

They rebook the new package before the cancel the old room. There is no reason to worry about the room disappearing.
