If anyone knows anything about Mousesavers and their codes, please help.

I get the e-newsletter, but I'm not sure how to get the "codes," because I don't know exactly what they are and how to use them when I book my room.

Do I call CRO?

Do I have to go throught the Mousesavers website?

Please help!!! I see everyone else getting a great room rate and I'd love to find out how!

Thanks!

Try clicking on the newsletter hyperlink and get connected to more info about the codes. If not, go directly to the www.mousesavers.com site and look under lodging. There's some info re: the specific code and some sample rates (without tax, I believe). Mousesavers isn't a travel agency, so you don't book through there and Mary doesn't provide information about all the resorts and rates of various rooms. It's enough for us to then ask questions on a board like this and/or contact CRO with more questions. There are 2 new room-only codes --- one for AP holders and the other for any one. There's also a code that is for packages. The dates covered are approximately 2/11 (not sure of that) through 4/17 (that I'm sure of). Hopefully, more codes will come out for dates after that, but it's a waiting game.

You can then contact a travel agent (such as DU that is advertised on this website) or call CRO yourself and ask if there's rooms available with that code for dates you want. If not available, check for different resorts or different dates, or check for part of your trip. Good luck!

Thank you so much!

So when I call CRO, I can just say I have code CTN and they will tell me my rate?

I usually ask them to check to see if a room is available with code 'XYZ' for "xyz dates" and ask them to check certain resorts. CMs generally don't look at every available resort. The CM will tell you if that resort is available and what the rate is (be sure you understand what view this is and if it includes tax or not, so you can make an informed decision). You can go ahead and book it. If it's not available, keep asking the CM to check other resorts or or dates. Sometimes they seem to give you prices for the rooms with the best view first (ie, water view), so don't hesitate to ask for something different -- or ask them to explain the difference between the various views and types of rooms.

If you get a CM who doesn't seem patient and helpful or knowledgeable, it's better to call back and try to get someone with more skill. (This is when it's really wonderful to have a cell phone with free weekend/nights or a lot of any-time minutes. This can take awhile, especially if the computers are slow.) Good luck!
