Coconut ice cream?

C.Ann, it's not ice cream but I was at my local grocery store the other day and saw coconut m&ms...yummy!

When we visit the Outer Banks, I get coconut ice cream at a store called "Candyland." It is my very favorite!!

Our local Ice cream shop has the Almond joy ice cream. coconut and chocolate covered almonds.

And Harts turkey farm in NH has been selling coconut ice cream for at least 35 years!

C Ann dont know where you are located but around here (SE PA) very occasionally i see a Hershey brand of ice cream (dont think its the same company). When I see it I tear through the case looking for coconut. I buy all they have so if Ive been there before you, you're out of luck. It is the best!

Just returned from the beach and DH said his favorite food of the entire week was the coconut ice cream cone he had. I think it also had the chocolate covered almonds that another poster mentioned and yes, it was Hershey brand. This was at a Fudge Factory if you have one of those nearby!

If you can find Blue Bunny ice cream it is the BEST!!!! I highly recommend that brand, any flavor.

Since there are so many ice cream lovers on this thread......I have been looking everywhere for Hagan Daaz Green Tea Ice Cream...has anyone seen or had it???

Yes, that's what they said and he probably got the ice cream at the same place in Bar Harbor that sells the lobster ice cream.

That is Ben and Bill's and Mr President did NOT go there, he went to Mt Desert Ice Cream...little hole in the wall place, they also make a delish cantelope ice cream as well.
Ben and Bill's is a bit put off I guess, as it made the news that he didn't go there and they made a special ice cream in his honor.

Visiting Bar Harbor, Maine for a little rest and relaxation, President Obama climbed to the top of a scenic hill in Acadia National Park. The family went for a bike ride, and walked through the quaint town. And then they went for ice cream at Mt. Desert Ice Cream.

“I got coconut,” the President said, “Excellent, I’d recommend it.”

Great advertising for the ice cream shop. But another shop is feeling a little sour. Ben & Bill’s Chocolate created an entire flavor for the President. “Commander in Chief Chip” has red, white and blue stripes with chocolate chips. But it didn’t get a taste by the first family.

Manager Adreinne Buckley was understanding. “It’s his choice, it’s his vacation,” she told ABC News.

The ice cream isn’t going to waste. Plenty of people are giving it a try.

“A lot of people are getting purple tongues,” Buckley said.

And she still has a chance to have the name sake of the ice cream a try. The Obama’s don’t leave until Sunday morning.

“Tomorrow is another day,” Buckley said.

We've visited this ice cream place in Vancouver, British Columbia. AMAZING!!!!

They have 218 flavors on hand at all times. And carry 508 flavors. It was like an international ice cream store.

Reminded me of Its A Small World actually.

You prepay. They give you a poker chip. Then you go decide what flavor(s) you want, and they dish it up.

Also you can sample, plenty, before you decide!

Sob....choke....sniffle....

I went to the General Store today and they didn't have any Hershey's Coconut Ice Cream..

Later on, the Ice Cream Truck came jingling up the road and I even ran out to stop him - just in case.. No coconut ice cream..

Looks like DD gets to check out Aldi's this week..

All I can think about now is getting my hands on some coconut ice cream..
