Cocoa Programmers?

lol, that is kinda like asking the Democratic national convention if anyone belongs to the NRA. I'll admit I am a geek, I no longer write code.

My team at work tells me I should stay away from code :)

But, "my people" are Cocoa programmers (well, some of them anyway). Does that count??

Again, thought this might be a reference to Kevin's chocolate stash. :rotfl:

I'm in the same boat as Daneen. I play at Cocoa development but it is my staff who do the heavy lifting.

Yeah, I haven't done any "heavy lifting" coding in years myself. Unfortunately, ever since I sold my business, I no longer have "people" to clean up my mistakes. Oh well.

I was just curious because I am writing an iPhone application to store all my information for my trip to WDW in January and have run into a brick wall.

Can't you just keep it in the cloud? Isn't that where we're all supposed to keep our vital information these days?

When I think about how much data Google already has of mine in "the cloud" it is a little scary.

But to answer your question, yes I could and it is; but, this is my excuse for playing around with the iPhone SDK and I will have the luxury of flipping my phone into Airplane mode and still have access to all of the data. Airplane mode will save me battery life and mean that I can't be interuppted in WDW with annoying business calls.

OH, I like the sound of that - after you figure that one out - how about one to track DVC points????

I'd buy it.

I'm giving Mobile Me a try at the moment. So far I like the ease of access to my data in the Apple 'cloud' and the instant access to the iDisk on my Mac. Not to mention the fact that Apple just extended my free trial period by another two months!

However I would love a native WDW info tracker app. I'm a full tme geek also buy not of the programming type;-)

Don't give up, I have found that when I'm at work and run into an issue I cannot resolve, if I Google the right phrase I can find a solution to just about anything!

Via iPhone....Nearing I4 (yahooo)

Sound interesting. Are you having a Cocoa specific problem or is it iPhone SDK specific? The former I can easily point you to some resources. The latter is tricky due to the NDA.

Silly me I thought this thread was going to teach me how to change the coffee pot into the hot cocoa pot:sad2:
