DH and I are using vouchers to fly into Orlando Sanford in June for 4 days. We want a beach location to just relax. Disney trip is later in the year w/ kids. Any ideas on hotels on or near beach? Thanks.

Many hotel rooms in the area still have not re-opened since the hurricanes. Check out the Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach... nice place. (plazaresortandspa.com).

I think all the places in Cocoa Beach damaged by Frances and Jeanne are all up and running again. CB is the place to go, IMHO.

New Smyrna beach is very nice but it was devastated by the hurricanes. Hopefully someday they will be able to restore it to what is was. There is hardly no sand left, it is heartbreaking. So many businesses have been forced to close because of these storms, I hope things will work out for them. I am not sure about Cocoa beach but Daytona is coming along.

Cocoa Beach... DEFINITELY try to stay at the Ron Jon Cape Caribe resort. I did last summer and wow is this place nice!

You can even watch all the cruise boats leave right next door or even walk to the pier next to the port. (Ron Jon Cape Caribe is the first resort directly next to port canaveral... very cool)
