Cocoa Beach

My children and I will have 2 nights (12/30-31) in Cocoa Beach before we check into our Disney resort on 1/1/14. I have never been to Cocoa Beach. Any recommendations on things to see/do while we are there?

Not really an "attraction", but you have to stop in to Ron Jon's Surf Shop. I also understand you can take surfing lessons at Cocoa Beach. Kennedy Space Center is close by as well.

I don't think you need to contact a congressperson; it seems from the website that admission to KSC is open… for a price, of course! We LOVE Kennedy Space Center, although it's been a few years since we've been there (WOW! I think it's been 10 years!).
