Hi All ~ We are looking for an oceanfront family hotel in Cocoa Beach. Any recommendations? Thanks! Sandra

I've stayed at the Doubletree several times. I really like it. All the rooms have an ocean view (some are a decent side view, some are ocean front), have a microwave and a counter height refrigerator, and very comfortable beds. The bathrooms are a little on the small side, but functional. They have a good restaurant, a small but decent pool, a really wide beach, a small fitness room, a business center with complimentary access to the Internet (handy for checking flight status and keeping up with email), and of course, those yummy Doubletree cookies. They are also in a great location, right across the street from a grocery so you can easily get snacks and drinks for the room. The hotel was closed for several months after the 2004 hurricane season and completely gutted and redone, so it's in good shape. The only thing I don't like is that it has the wall a/c units instead of central air, but they work well.
