When I went to IOA last week I was talking to one of the employees about any new rides you might get and he said he can't say much but he heard it would be a some type of a simulator for Jurassic Park. On Danimation.com everyone on there keeps saying that the next ride for IOA would be in 2002 or 2003 and it would be a darkride. They also say there is a agreement between IOA and B&M for a new coaster in a few years.

Also rumor has that there might be a Mummy Dark Ride in the next couple years.

Coasterfev thanks for your help a couple weeks ago I got a job at IOA as a park attendant I can't wait. Maybe I'll be able to find about what you guys have planned in the next couple years.

There is no contract with B&M. As for the rest of it, it's nothing but rumors. There's nothing on the books right now. The speculation is that IOA will get the next major attraction. As to when and what it is, that hasn't been decided.

Remember, we've got new owners. It might be a while. They need to figure all of this out first.

Ditto - all you are hearing is speculation. There are a million rumors out there, and that's exactely what all of them are - rumors.

I can assure you, there is NOTHING concrete yet as to any new attractions at the parks in Orlando.

Darn! I was really looking forward to the show, "Earl: All Universal Orlando Secrets Revealed" show in the Toon Lagoon Ampetheather. ;)

If you were talking to someone in the park, I can gaurantee you that you got inaccurate information. No Universal employee with the burdon of knowledge, in the middle of park operation, to a guest (no offence intended) will ever let slip such nuggets.

Vivendi bought Seagrams' share of Universal last year. The company is now called Vivendi Universal, which shares ownership of the parks with Blackstone Capital.

Speaking of the Toon Lagoon Ampetheather...

Are there any plans for a new show to go in there? It looks really bad having that huge building empty for so long now.

Xtreme Xventure (X2 ) is returning to the Toon Amphitheatre this Summer.

Other than that, there are no plans for the Amphitheatre other than seasonal shows and special events (Fox Family Concerts, Cheerleading competitions, etc).
