coast to coast - options?

I am registered for the 2012 Princess 1/2. What/when are my west coast options to be able to recieve the Coast to Coast medal? Note that I am only half crazy, and a full marathon is not for me.
Also, does the second race need to be within a year of the first race (do I have until Feb 2013 to complete it), or do both races have to be within the same calendar year?
I've become a RunDisney addict, and I haven't even competed in my first 1/2 marathon yet, lol!

With the addition of the Tinkerbell race, I don't know if they will change things, but when I did it last year I ran the half in WDW in Jan and then the half in Disneyland in Sept. DL only has the half marathon, not enough running room for a full marathon. So you are all good with only doing halfs. I believe you have to run both races in the same calendar year, but like I said with the new Tink half in Cali they may change that.

As the Princess is after the Tinkerbell race, you'd only be able to do the Disneyland one (unless you're willing to do the west coast portion before the Princess).

Your option is to do the Tinkerbell 1/2 in January and then the Princess or the Princess and the DL 1/2 in September for the Coast to Coast. Just like Robert said, they both have to be done in the same calendar year and you must finish both (I had heard that there was a time requirement for when you had to finish each race by - maybe 3:30?). So, you don't have a full year to complete the two races you have to complete them in the same year. Hope that helps!

To follow up on Shelby's comment, I believe you have to complete both races by the pacing requirement only (as she pointed out 3:30 per half). Basically you just have to complete the race as per the rules and you're good to go.

I was going to do the Princess in 2012, the DL's, but due to family health issues I'm planning on the DL's half, then Winde and Dine half. I think that will work??

Yes, those two races will qualify for the Coast to Coast medal.
