Coast to Coast and Marathon Relay

I'd like to get a coast to coast medal in 2012. I'm considering doing one of the races in Jan.

Does anyone know if the marathon relay will count towards coast to coast?

So, the WDW Marathon Relay would count because each runner is going to be doing a Half Marathon? But, does that mean that the Wine & Dine Half Marathon relay would not count towards the Coast to Coast?

Last year the Wine and Dine Half did not get a Coast to Coast medal that I know of. I think logistically, having to distribute C2C medals twice would be too complicated. I don't know if it is a C2C race this year.

When I went to the W&D Half Registration form, it does allow you to indicate if you're going for the C2C so this year at least the half does count. I'm doubtful the relay will though because neither team member will have run 13.1 miles.

I know that this year it is part of the coast to coast. Now, I think you have to do the half and not the relay (in October) since you have to run at least a half in FL and CA.

Summing up...

The W&D is part of the C2C from now forward. The Marathon relay is part of the C2C. What we have not mentioned is that the C2C is a calendar year award so for a 2011 C2C one would need to be in the 2011 DL Half and one of the 2011 half or longer events at WDW.
