DW and I registered yesterday for the 2014 Half. Our anniversary is in August and next year will be 15 years for us. We talked about possibly running the Disneyland 1/2 in 2014 and completing the Coast 2 Coast Challenge. I remember seeing where it asked us if we were doing that on the registration for the WDW Half, but I didn't check yes. Is it really a big deal to go back later and add that or can I just check yes when I register us for the Disneyland 1/2 if we decide we are going to do it?

You need not check yes to the first race in order to participate in the Coast to Coast Challenge.

In fact, I'm not sure why the question is asked in the registration process for WDW Marathon weekend events. Disney does not hand out Coast to Coast medals at the marathon because it is the first event of the calendar year.

You should check yes to the C2C question for the second race (the Disneyland Half) which I would highly recommend registering for at the WDW Marathon Expo. Its really popular and much smaller than Disney's Florida events.

If you have any doubt about your C2C registration status, bring your WDW finishers medal and certificate to the Disneyland Half Expo. Runner Relations can fix registration errors for you.

Thanks for the response. That's kind of what I had figured, but wasn't sure. We plan on deciding if we want to do that or not soon and will register as soon as we do (or they open registration, whichever comes first).

They automatically link it if the info is the same- Ive done C2C twice now (this year is the 3rd) one with DLR being my 2nd race and once with Wine n Dine and never had an issue with it not being notated..

Ive heard that if you change names/pieces of name (Say one is Rob the other Robert) or change addresses you may have to email them to make sure they know its the same person...

Thanks for that info! I don't anticipate moving or going by another name so I should be good.

Hey guys!

I was about to create a new therad, but I saw this one.

I have a plan here, but dont know if its possible.I started running about 1 month or so, and I want to do the Coast 2 Coast challenge (I know, crazy). Im thinking in doing the Disneyland Half (or maybe Dumbo) in 2014 and Goofy in 2015. If I do the races in this order, do I win the C2C medal? Im not sure because its two diferent years, so Im a bit lost.

Thanks!

Did you hear about the special Coast to Coast medal for completing 2014 Tinkerbell & Princess half-marathons?

Completing both the Princess half-marathon at Walt Disney World and the Tinkerbell half-marathon at DisneyLand Resort will earn you a special coast-to-coast medal with a pink overlay & lanyard! Registration for the Princess half-marathon begins June 11. Registration for Tinkerbell half-marathon begins June 11 if you are also registering for the Princess half-marathon, otherwise it will start on July 9.

Nope- its the same calendar year- If you start with DLR 2014 you'll have to finish with Wine n Dine 2014..

I'd aim for WDW Jan or Princess then finish with DLR (IMO those are better races than W&D) and youd have plenty of time to train for either

Ill try to do WDW and DL in 2015 then... seems the best option for me. Thanks again!
