hi guys, im looking to go to Disneyland for the bank holiday weekend in my 3rd - 6th but need to be as cheap as possible. A coach trip has been the cheapest quotes i can get around £600 for me and 13 yrold daughter with a 2 day park pass, and staying at the kyraid hotel or dream castle. I would love to hear about anyone experiences with coach trips and what companies people have used as i am still pricing up. I would prefer to leave from bradford (price quoted is from huddersfield)

I've done 2 coach trips with Leger both in 2007. My mine reason was that I was taking the children on my own and wanted to make it as easy as possible.

The downside is the long journey, we left South wales approximately 8.00 am and arrived at the hotel around midnight. The actual road part isn't too bad, but there was a few hours hanging around at Dover waiting for other coaches to arrive, as this is where you may swap coaches. Having said that everything was done for us, all luggage is taken care of, you put it in the coach at the start of your journey and it's offloaded on the end, only once did we get off the coach for border security, the other times they came aboard and you just hold your passport up for them.

At the hotel one of the drivers checked us in.

The only thing I would say about your trip is that the park will be incredibly busy on those dates, weekends are very very busy. One of my coach trips was a weekend trip, had it been our first visit I don't think we'd have gone back. Also staying at Kyriad or Dream Castle means you won't be able to take advantage of Disney's Extra Magic Hour available to Disney hotel guests - 2 extra hours before park opening, which is really useful during busy periods, is Santa Fe or Cheyenne available ?

It is very straight forward, would I go again probably not - horrendous crossings on the second trip and it just takes far too long, I can leave the house at 2.00pm and be in Paris by 6.00pm if we fly.

Both my coach trips were paid for with Tesco Clubcard deals, so in effect free trips, so I can't complain, but like most on here now I'm spending my own money, to get the cheapest deal I book as soon as flights are released and then hang on for a good package deal. As your planned trip is imminent, I'm guessing flights are very expensive.

If you do book then do come back to the forum so we can give you some tips on how to get the most out of your stay. :thumbsup2

thanks Jill. we have been before a fair few times so not having the extra magic hours isnt really a big deal. I havent tried leger, travelled with them in 2005, but will check out their prices.
i would love to fly and be their in afew hours but that would cost just over £1000 all in all. the price difference is enough to sway me towards the coach and then like you said its all done for you, and no transfers to sort etc.
