This is the day he ALMOST beat North Carolina in his last game.

Nothing against Coach K, but I’m happy about the result.

Kansas v North Carolina for the championship.

I like when the finalists have states names. A bonus when all of the Final 4 are the flagship state universities.

The women cooperated for me too. Connecticut v South Carolina.

We were pulling for Villanova and Duke...'Nova because they and Syracuse were in the Big East at the same time when DH was in grad school (GO ORANGE!) and Duke because it seems appropriate for Coach K to go out on top. Oh well...

I cried. It was a great game and I am glad it was a nail biter, but Coach K has been a part of almost my entire life. My granny (would be 102 now - lived into her 90s) was a die hard fan so naturally that passed down. I had hoped it would be a storybook ending for him.
