Hi everyone,

Other than actually going to the stores, is there anyway you can find out what some of the current merchandise is in a factory outlet? I'm heading to Orlando next week for work stuff but plan on hitting the outlets. I'd love to get a bag but I'm curious what is in the outlets these days.

I go to the outlets frequently (one of the perks of living in FL) and one lady at the Coach store suggested that I call ahead and ask if I'm looking for anything in particular. I've been on the hunt for a big, chocolate brown leather bag (with no luck thus far) and the sweet Coach lady told me that many people call in and ask to have a quick overview of what's on the shelves.

She made it seem like not every associate would do this so I guess it's sort of a hit or miss call.

The coach outlet there is great.They have good stuff,no regect stucff with bad stiching ect...I look for the bags they have got from the full price stores but I did get a really pretty white and grey bag in April!

The best bargains right now, will be the winter purses. 50% off, plus another 50% off the sale price. I asked an associate and she says, when one season passes, then those purses hit the clearance area. So the winter purses are all on sale. When summer comes in June, then the Spring purses.

You can get run-over's or to much stock of a purse for about 30% off.

I finally got a chance to go to the Coach outlet in my hometown with my mother yesterday.

OMG! I could seriously get into trouble there!

The smell of the store was amazing. My mom said it smelled like "money", whereas I said it smelled like new purses.

Unlike most outlet stores, it was not crowded at all with merchandise. It was organized, with lots of room to walk. Probably because the merchandise is more pricier than average outlet mall items.

All clearance items were 50% off lowest price, and then an additional 20% off that price.

My mother bought a billfold for $49.xx. Beautiful leather. Excellent quality. I think it was around $120 new.

I splurged, and purchased a handbag. Patent leather. Navy blue. Big and absolutely gorgeous and perfect for our rainy weather (I live on the Washington Coast and it ALWAYS rains). I paid $120.xx. It was $398 new. The "Leah" style #F14663. If you look close, you can see the "CCCC" pattern.

I specifically told the sales associate that I was trying to avoid the fabric signature bags as they are the most popular fake Coach style. I have never seen the patent leather as a fake bag. And it was just so beautiful. Immediately caught my eye. Plus there is patent leather billfolds and wristlets to match, in different colors, so I can mix it up a bit.

I was thrilled with the selection and the prices. And was thrilled that I have a Coach bag that I can now use in any weather. (I have a leather Coach that I can't use because I am afraid that I will get water damage on it - I really should sell it, as it is sitting on a shelf in the spare bedroom.....).

I'm leaving this afternoon for Orlando so I plan on hitting the outlets in the next few days after my conference. I'm definitely letting myself splurge on a bag, since today is my birthday, but not just any old bag.

I actually fell in love with the Dooney and Bourke Alto Doctor Satchel in brown when I was on my cruise and hit the outlet in San Juan, but it was $498! I just couldn't justify it especially since I had just bought diamond earrings But I can't stop thinking about it! So I'm hoping to find a very class, medium-large size doctor style bag.

Nope there's no way to look online at the outlet stuff.

I just came back from the Coach outlet in Allen Tx, and frankly the outlet line this year is just so so (lots of bags that don't zip all the way end to end and colors I don't like), and since the retail stuff they carry is last years and I didn't like much in last years retail line, I didn't find anything. It's like unheard of. I did have good luck a few months back and found a lot of little things (bag tags, lanyards, etc) and they still had some of those.

I haven't been to a D&B outlet in about a year so I can't help you there, but I'm sure someone else has.

Call the store(s) directly. They don't all have the same merchandise. Tell the manager what you are looking for & they should be able to tell you if you can find it at a discounted price.

Also, check their web site. They often have sale merchandise.
