CNN proves itself as Fox-lite

When an obvious left wing effort forced debate poll figures for VP candidate John Edwards to significantly rise over Dick Cheney CNN pulled the poll almost immediately. The same situation has occured in reverse at CNN after the last Presidential debate (a HUGE jump favoring bush over Kerry) and CNN has allowed the poll to stand.

Lets hear no more of the liberal media crap around here, OK?

You said it right there... a left wing effort. Interesting that you don't see right wing efforts to hack online polls.

There was another "effort" last night which forced the original CNN poll to read Kerry winning by over 90% within minutes of the debate ending. Now the left is upset because Bush is winning an online poll by 18 points. I'm willing to bet that the reason the current poll is still up is because it's closer to reality than the original one. They would probably keep it up if the figures were reversed, but it's hard for the left to admit that. I think it shows a lot of integrity on the part of CNN to change it.

I don't understand? I see both. The left obviously influenced the unreasonable results of the Edwards/Cheany debate and right has now unreasonably influenced the bush/Kerry debate. My point is that CNN immediately dropped the Edwards/Cheney results but have allowed the bush/Kerry results to stand. Liberal bias? It doesn't seem so, does it?

It's called being able to look at the first poll (last nights poll) and see how badly it was skewed. Ever since Dan Rather, the media knows that they are under scrutiny, especially from undecided voters. If they leave an obviously skewed poll up, they run the risk of having some other news agency report on it. It's not that they are being fair, but are covering their rears.

Bottom line - CNN polls almost always have Kerry/Edwards ahead and Fox almost always has Bush/Cheney ahead.

Liberal viewers tend to watch CNN. Conservatives watch Fox.

Trust me, liberals do not watch CNN. They have been trying to be Fox lite for a while now, and have failed miserably. Their ratings are in the toilet, right where they belong.
