Anyone else have this problem?
At one of our local Disney Stores the CM's are buying up most, if not all of the limited edition pins that are being released each saturday. I have been consistantly told each week that "They only sent us a half of a box" or "those sold out in the first five minutes".
Just curious?
Am I just being a whiner?

i am fairly new to collecting but the CM's are probably telling you the truth. i have about 4 DS i can go to in my area and i know that each one is getting a line of at least 15 people each saturday morning at opening time. last week the store i went to was sold out of one pin by the time i got finished at the register. They put a 2 pin limit per design but if everyone ahead of you buys two each that can go very quickly if they only get one "pack or box" of that particular pin. the CM's may be grabing a few for themselves but the reality is these pins are a very poular collectible and you need to be at the store when it opens. if you cant get the pin you want grab a extra pin and try to trade! there have been lots of people trading for just this reason. Good luck!!!! :earsboy:

I am also very new but I would find it hard to believe that they would risk losing their jobs over hording pins-just wouldn't make sense

When these TDS pins first came out, the first week anyway, they were fairly consistent. Some stores rec'd 24 each; the larger stores 48 each.
Each week since has been more and more short shipped pins. One store getting six of one is bad, but not uncommon anymore. :(
And each week seems to be more and more short shipments.
Three at today's store were short shipped. The other store didn't have any of one pin style up until Thursday. I don't know if they did get any in of that one or not.
Another Dis-er called me last night. Her store didn't get any poster pin for today's TDS pin sales.
Someone from Disney needs to be fired, IMHO.

At my mom's store there also starting to get more broken pins too, which cuts down on the number available.

I will say that CMs are in line on Saturday mornings at my local store. They stand in line & take a number just like everyone else. However, this week my local store did not have any #40 Reluctant Dragon either.

I know that at my store the CM's that are working in the morning get first crack at the pins. If you are not working you stand in line and wait to get your pins. I think that is fair. They are allowed their limit just like us. :jester:

Hi guys,
This was the first weekend, to my knowledge, that my store has been short of pins. In our case, however, it was because my store(Plantation/Broward Mall-Gallery store) had to send one each of their boxes of #41 Trick or treat and #?? Reluctant Dragon poster to the Boca Raton store which was short-shipped both of these pins. My mail has been affected since the tragedy, but I agree that this is unacceptable from Disney. We are all there to buy the pins, every week. The least they could do is be sure to have a sufficient supply available to us all. I agree that when this happens, the limit per person should be kept to one so that more will have the opportunity to buy the pin.

I think the only week neither of our stores were not shorted any pins was week #1. And each week has been progressively worse. Fewer and fewer each week. If this trend continues, by December there won't be any reason to go to TDS. -- There won't be any to buy.
