CMs handing out WOC FP at DCA entrance?

Did I see somewhere that CMs are at the VGC DCA entrance in the morning handing out WOC FPs before you even go into the park? What time is this? Does your whole party have to be present? One of my son's hasn't seen the show and when we are there next month I'd like for him and his family to have the opportunity. We are staying at VGC as he is and my other son, who decided last minute he just couldn't stand it and is now joining us and will be staying at DLH (on points..holy cow..that's ridiculous). Would they have to hustle down to VGC to get WOC FP for his family or is that something we can collect for him? Or do we all just need to get there early and go get them as soon as the park opens?

The handing out of FPs seems to have happened a few times and is connected somehow with DLR hotel guests not being allowed into DCA at 9AM as they usuallly are. On the rare occasion it seems to have happened I have not heard whether you need the whole party there.

CM's were handing out WOC fastpasses at the GCH entrance to DCA when we stayed at the GCH in January. They started half an hour before DCA opened, and one person could collect for the family, but I had to have their room key and/or ticket with me. They told us this was an experiment, and who knows what the policy will be by the time you get there.

Hope that will give you an idea of what to expect, but I would definitely ask about it when you get to your hotel to make sure you have the most up-to-date info.

When we were at GCH in July, the WOC fast passes were at GRR and you'd have to have all the entry tickets validated to be able to get FP for each member of the group.

This seems to be the "normal" way for WOC FP to be distributed. There were a few situations earlier in the year where they handed out FP to people in line at GCH, but that sounded like an experiment or something they were doing temporarily due to problems with equipment.

Same for us the last week of July this year. It was funny b/c when we called down to Guest Services at the hotel we would get a different answer depending on who talked to.

It was also done this way in early June. One person could collect for the entire party. One room key was needed, but they were not asking for any other documents.
