A CM told my sister to exclude her DH from her 4/3 reservation to avoid buying him the park tickets. He has tickets from a prior trip but she needs them for the rest of her party. The CM told her to add DH at checkin. He said that people do it all the time. Has anyone done this? Doesn't sound right to me.

Yes it can be done. I did it in January. I had had gastric bypass surgery in December and was not going to be on the dining plan with the rest of my group. Everyone on the reservation has to be on the same package. So we didn't put me on. I called Magical Express and explained it to them.. they added me onto ME... then I just was added at the resort when we got there... I didn't buy the dining plans or tickets (we had the military ones)

hope that helps!!!

That's one way to get around everyone having to have the same package, but if he needs to take Magical Express it won't work. It might be easier to book room only and then purchase tickets seperately.

I don't know if it sounds right or not - but I've seen a lot of people report that they've added people at checkin and not added them to the package (tickets and dining). I know we added two of our friend's children to our room at check in so that they could come swimming with my neice and so we could give an extra room key to our friends so they could take their children back to out room for a nap without us if need be

Thanks! I didn't even think about Magical Express. Did ME give you a hard time? I wonder if they do this a lot.

OK, so if my in-laws want to show up the first few days of our trip, they can stay with us and not have to be on the plan? I just tell the front desk? and buy their tickets separately?

does it cost extra for them to be in the room with us?

It will cost extra for them to stay because their is an extra adult charge of, I think, $15 per adult per night? Or maybe its $10 for values, $15 for mods, and $25 for deluxes. You will not be able to go over the room occupancy either.

Hey, I say go for it. Tell OUR sister :goodvibes to give it a shot. All that could happen is that they add our BIL to the reservation. See you in DW!!!!

PS Where did DalefromCT come from?

As others have said you can add him at check in. The only way this will not work is you are on the dining plan and need him to be on it too. They cannot add the dining plan at the resort it has to be added more then 72 hours prior to check in
