CM Wendy in Mickeys Mates....on the Magic

Hi all,
on the 11-27 cruise I had the oppurtunity to meet CM wendy in Mickeys mates, from Canada. I have to tell you all this girl was great and made my trip more enjoyable. The way we met was, on Sunday, I was at the toddler pool with DS nathan, and he was being shy. He only wanted to cling to me and did not want to play, so I bought him some Findng Nemo water toys at the merchandise stand near Scoops. She talked to Nate that day, and told me how cute she thought he was. I said thank yo and went on my way. Do you know that every day after that, when I saw her she remembered my name and Nates, and often asked after him? She was very cheerful and friendly. Has anyone else had a great encounter with her?

hi amanda! it was nice to meet you! we only had tea with wendy darling and that was all but our "cm" was the very pretty blond walt disney theatre performer. she played cruella, little mermaid and on the last day, she was belle. she was wandering around the atrium (when all the performers did the caroling), i flagged her down and told her that everytime my daughter watched her on stage, my daugther would say "mama, i like her". then on the last day, when she was belle, she gave my daughter extra time & attention.

The girl who did Lil' Mermaid, Belle & was a singer, dancer/performer at the shows was the best!!! She was so pretty, pleasant & so darn talented.

I have to say that all the show performers are very talented & extremely versatile - they play a lot of different roles & played them extremely well.

I was really impressed w/ the Dreams Show - wow! We went to see it twice in 1 day - so I guess you can say we liked it.

The only show I wasn't impressed with was Hercules. What the heck? That show was all over the place...or was it me?

Amanda, did you rebook for the same wk next yr? I rebooked for the same wk for 2006.

Oh my goodness, Sam, that'd be great if you did that. I didn't think I could take photos during the shows...I have a small digital anyway that wouldn't have come out too clear b/c the lens & flash are not for far range anyway.

If you could photograph her when she's Little Mermaid during the Disney Dreams show that'd be awesome. It is an incredible scene when she sings the theme song coming up from under the stage...

I'm the proud Dad. If you get the chance DW and I would love to see any pictures of DD in the shows, or indeed around the ship when in Character role. Have a great cruise. We can't wait until Jan before we get to go.

Are you the dad of the girl on the photos posted here or the one we're talking about - who performed the last wk [11/27 thru 12/4] & performing this wk as well - I assume?

If you are the dad of the one I'm referring to - I can understand your pride. She is a phenomenal singer, dancer & performer. Wow, what a natural. I hope Disney keeps her for as long as she wants to do this. Her next stop should be Broadway.

Do you mean the woman's name was Wendy, or that she played Wendy?

We had an EXCELLENT encounter with a woman at Mickey's Mates. We were pin trading and conversing with the staff there (they were all super nice!), when DH mentioned a specific pin he was looking for. The CM said she thought she had seen it on another CM, and then came back 10 minutes later and GAVE the pin to DH! Wow! We would never have expected her to take such time and care! She really left us with a "feel good" memory; just another example of what I mean when I talk to others about "Disney quality"!

Yes I'm the current one's Dad - she'll be on until next May, then who knows what. Could be Broadway, West End or she may wish to do another stint with Disney. I know she's loving it at the moment - it definitely beats my job!

As I said, I wasn't able to get any photos during any performance so I am really looking forward to Sam's "professional" photos. I need them for my scrapbook & it wouldn't be complete w/out photos from the shows & our favorite Little Mermaid!

Oh my... no pressure. I'll go to the matinee just in case I goof up! Then I'll have a second chance.

Fortunately, I can reference the original photo of the same scene I posted here to get a better idea of exposure settings. <whew>

My DD met a CM at Treasure Ketch. She is Erika from Germany. She was so friendly all week. She even sent my DD a single use camera to our state room since she knew DD was almost out of pictures in hers.

I would like to send her a WWWD pin if I could find out how to mail it to her.
