Has this already been discussed here?

Here's the package she quoted me:

10 nites- 2 standard rooms @ Pop Century with 10 day MYW tickets w/ waterparks upgrade (no hopper) and free dining plan- 2 adults, 4 children (all between ages 4 and 9): $3217.72

My math skills aren't the best; does this seem to include a room discount?

Thanks!

Sue

I just checked on the WDW site - apparently can't search for 2 rooms at once so I searched based on 1 adult and 2 children and then just doubled the amount. I came up with $3253.52 total based on a random 10 nights in September. If there is a room discount it's not much. The difference I came up with doing it the hard way, haha, was $35.80 but that could be some odd difference in tax based on booking the two rooms separately vs. one package.

My package for All Star Movies for 10 nights/11 days is $3,234.02
It incluedes:
10 Day Park Hopper Tickets with water parks for 2 adults/2 kids and the dining plan for 2 adults/2 kids.

We're going in June and can't get the free dining..
Hope that helps..

I don't think that there's a room discount. I booked last night and the price quoted to me was the exact same price as what I got on Disney's website for an identical reservation without the dining package.

I also booked yesterday, and it was the exact same price as waht I was quoted on Disney's website for an identical reservation without the dining.

I did notice on-line, though, that my room type is listed as water view rather than the standard that I paid for. I'm not sure if that is just a mistake or a little pixie dust. I'll be fine with either, since we don't plan to spend much time in the room. And it's POR, so it's not like we'll have a balcony to sit on.

It seems to me that perhaps, maybe, hopefully that value season may be pushed forward to Aug 13, so anyone booking between Aug 13 and 27th may get a small break on the room rate as well as the free dining. This is what I hope, and I'll know on Tuesday if this is the case. This hope is based on the e-mail that was forwarded to the Disney Visa customers.

Palendat,
Which email was this? I was trying to book All Star Movies during the Value season which doesn't start until August 27th. I would be thrilled if they moved the date!!!

You might have a point there. I'm booked at a deluxe resort and their value season begins on July 5. So, there would be no price difference based on the value season being "pushed forward". It would already be value season at the Poly.

I think there is a small room discount. :goodvibes

I booked POFQ yesterday 8/25-28 with a 1 day base ticket and the quote is $658.03. I had calculated it to be $648 plus tax. The same dates for a MYW with no dining online is $711.55.

Just booked free dining from the Aug 26 until Sept 3rd. Value season starts at the all stars on the 27th. The CM confirmed that the value season for this package was pushed to the 13th. Therefore, I saved an additional $20pn plus tax! :sunny:

Wow, yes, that's it! Looks to be the same with the Moderates too! That's $50 in savings!

That explains it! I had originally booked a standard view room only reservation. I switched yesterday to the package assuming it was still a standard view room, since he didn't indicate differently. On-line shows that I have a waterview room booked. My numbers worked out to me that I had still only paid for the standard view. With the change to value season, the difference is exactly the difference in the views. I think I'll just leave it.

Thanks for helping to clear that up!

Thank You Guys!!! I originally had my reservation for August 27th - 30th at All Star Movies, but really wanted it earlier. After reading this post I called back Disney and the CM did not even know about the date changes for Value season. So I have changed my dates earlier and added 2 days. Thanks again!!!

OH no, this is bad news for me. I was going to pass on the free dining package because I wanted to go mid-August, but knew the value season didn't start until the end and don't want to go in September. Now I'll have to rethink my plan TODAY, before tomorrow's rush. We went for a week in early Febuary, going for 2 weeks (last week of April/first week of May), then back again for 2 weeks mid October.....no was on the fench for a long weekend in August....what to do?

Where is this info about seasons changed?

It has been for a while that delxue had value season starting in July and ending in October while Values and moderates value season doesn't start until 8/27.

It has been reported on a couple of threads (including this one up a couple of messages) that CM's have confirmed the push back of the season for people on the package. I did not confirm it with a CM myself, but I was trying to figure out why I now had a water view when I paid for a standard view. When I ran the numbers, the amount is the exact amount difference between the two seasons.

So it has been changed just for the pacakges then and not an overall change of seasons? Probably to get the values and moderates in the same line as deluxes for this promo

cobbler,
I received a lower quote calling through the CRO vs. getting the quote online. The numbers coincide with a value season on my CRO quote. This makes me think it's a special for people booking the package.

That's my understanding, but I must admit that I don't have it straight from an official source. :sunny:

In a phone call aCM told me that the value season was back dated for the package. I don't think that value season moved overall; it was just for this package.
Hope this helps. :)
