I take cm thank you cards to Disneyland every time I go. Just a little card to say thank you to a cm that goes above and beyond or is just plain nice. Do people do this at DLP? Also, my son went to China and took little gifts to give to people that helped him, or tour guides and the like. Something that represents the small Colorado town we come from. Do people do this in Europe? I would love to do this if it is appropriate.

I've not actually heard of anyone doing this at DLP. But I'm sure that the CMs would be delighted if you wanted to do it - everyone loves to appreciated. :goodvibes

Last year I designed little envelopes, with mickey and Minnie, saying thankyou for making our holiday magic, I intended to put tips in (restaurants) but I totally forgot about them once we got there.

What a great idea!! I know when I went in June there was a CM at the Santa Fe who really did go all out to help us and we spoke to her on our last day and thanked her for all the help she had given us and she was positively beaming!! So it would have been nice to have had a little something to show our appreciation.:goodvibes

We were very pleased with the room service, so I left some mousekeeping envelopes at your stay earlier this year, but none of them were taken.

Perhaps they are not allowed to take some money any more ?

:confused3

It's not a common practice to leave tips to Mousekeeping in DLP, but what we did on our last day was to go back to our room when Mousekeeping were making it up and we gave the CM a box of English chocolates as a thank you.

That's exactly why I love to give the cards. We were told by CM's at Disneyland that they can be put in their employee file. Then when they have reviews they have direct positive comments from guests.

The best thing you can do is take down the CM's name and go into City Hall and fill out a form which is then read out during team meetings. The Cast Members really do appreciate this as they get lots of praise from there lead manager and other colleagues.

I often take little gifts when I go overseas - usually the little cling-on koalas. I've mainly given them to local kids, who absolutely love it! But I'm sure adults would appreciate the gesture too. Cards would be good if they got kept on file for review. Maybe postcards from your local area :scratchin

On a slightly related subject, I really wanted to email my appreciation for a CM at HK who was very helpful to us when we wanted to post a parcel of souvenirs etc home. But I never have because there were 3 CMs called Jason just in bell services at the hotel so I had no idea how to distinguish the one that helped us!

Luckily it was at the time when they had the star guest promotion, so at least I was able to give him one of my tokens.
