When I made my PS for the Garden Grille, the CM I talked to said she knew nothing about this. She said to call the restaurant directly, but I have never heard anyone else told to do that.

What do you all recommend? I was planning on reminding them when I checked in, but should I do something else beforehand? We leave in 4 weeks. Thanks!

Not uncommon for them to not know... there are tons and tons of special things that go on daily at WDW and the reservation CMs can't possibly stay up to date on all of them, esp when it's not something you book, you know?

Just call the restaurant and speak with the manager and ask for it. Hvae them mark it on your reservation... then, remind them again at check in. I have heard of people mentioning it for hte first time at check in and still doing it... sometimes they go all out, sometimes they dont - depends on your waiter and the day =)

Don't stress!

The same thing happened to me. I made our first PS and the CM was familar with it. Then I had to reschedule and he had no idea but he noted on the PS to do the rehitching ceremony and that it was our anniversary.

The first CM actually told me if I wanted to order a cake I had to call 48 hrs in advance.

Anyway, it was not problem (I doublechecked our PS when I checked in at the hostess area). It was noted on our PS. And, everyone went on as planned and there was even a cake (and I didn't order it) so it might be automatic.

If it makes you feel better just call back and ask the CM to make sure it is noted on your PS (whether they know anything about it or not). And, then double check when you check in-it'll be fine.

The CM I made our PS with also didn't know about the Rehitchin' Ceremony. (But I did thanks to these boards!!!) I just asked him to please put "Rehitchin Ceremony, surprise for husband" in the notes section. He must have done it because when I checked in, they looked at their paperwork and said "I see somebody's being sneaky here" and wrote "Shhh" on the paper for the waiter without me even needing to ask them. They did the ceremony and it was really cute.

I'll give CRO a call and have them note it on our PS, even if the CM I get next time hasn't heard of it!
