CM cleans table with floor mop...

I bet Disney hates the fact that almost every single person now has a camera/video camera on hand, at all times nowadays.
I'm sure its not just Disney on this. I'm sure its every business or profession. People and their stupid smartphones, think they have to record everything that happens. I especially love it when someone is in need of help/bullied/whatever and instead they just sit there and record it all.:rolleyes2 Put the phone down and do something. Sorry, when a little off subject. Rant over.

I can see where this would not have been a big deal if she hadnt reportedly already mopped the whole floor. This woman was not a cast member, she was from an outside company. She supposedly claimed she was not told she could not do that but that should be rather obvious that, that is not something that you should do. She was dismissed from Disney property and asked not to come back. I believe this was an appropriate response.

Gross! Even if she was an outside contractor, there are still santitation rules you have to follow. For example, I worked in a bakery. We had to sweep crumbs out of the display case (and rags weren't helping) so we got a clean hand held broom and it was only used to clean the crumbs out of hte case. It never touched the floor!

Not "reportedly". The video clearly shows her moping the floor, then the table, immediately afterwards. There is absolutely NO doubt as to what she did, so using the word "reportedly" is a bit disingenuous.

I'd also like to add that it doesn't matter if she mopped one square foot of the floor, or the entire thing before mopping the table. Both are equally nasty.

This is nothing. We had a NURSE who cleaned out the coffee pot with the same wire brush used to clean off the specula used for female exams. Needless to say, nobody drank coffee in the office after they found out what she had done. A NURSE of all people should know about proper sanitation, whether she went to housekeeper school or not. She didn't get a second chance to clean the coffee pot or anything else for that matter in the office.

I forgot about this thread. What I think is interesting is that I don't get the outside contractor excuse. Why doesn't Disney use Disney trained employee$? Outside contractors for cleaning are mostly used by companies to small to maintain a cleaning staff or ones that want to save money by going to outside contractors. I wonder which camp WDW is in? To be fair, this could happen whether the person was a Disney trained CM or an outside contractor, but I imagine a lot less probably if a CM. I wonder how many of what seem to be Disney CMs are just outside contractors compared to before. I don't mean to add to the cost-cutting threads, but that is what came to my mind when first reading this. On the plus side, I imagine whoever the contractor is has added a little addendum to their staff training and mopped tables sightings may all but disappear.
