He sounds pretty guilty to me. For those who say he is innocent untill proven guilty they are correct in a court of law but not in the court of public opinion. I would not want him near my child. Better safe than sorry.

It said on the news that He Admitted to having the pictures on his computer. So doesn't sound like he was framed......Just Caught Redhanded. Good for his roommates who turned him in.

Well, I didnt' see that fact. If he's confessed to it, I say put him away. A child porn afficianado with a job that involves kids needs to be in prison.

Neither is "worse." They are both equally horrible. It's a cycle where one crime feeds off the other. If there weren't people like this guy who are "just looking at them" then there wouldn't be a market for the people taking the pictures.

They are both bad, and both very disturbing. All I meant was at least it wasn't a "character," who, in our minds are all trustworthy, and have kids around them all day, that is making those horrible, offensive images. I do think they're both horrifying habits, he shouldn't be looking at them either. But, with your logic, if no one had taken the pictures, there wouldn't be any to look at.

Okay I don't read that he admitted anything in the two links posted previously and I don't live in that area so I don't have access to local news reports. I didn't hear anything about this on my local news but then again I am in Pennsylvania.

If he did admit to it then he should be punished.

I agree with Disnut - but how sad that kids cant just "be kids" anymore. We have to ruin there simplicity in life with this stuff! I believe that's why I always loved Disney. It is a place as an adult, I can feel like a kid again!

Pedophiles have abused children since the dawn of man. You just hear more about it now because of available media and reduced shame of admitting being abused.

I didn't read the article, but everyone should know that you don't say anything to the police or the media when you are arrested. That's what an attorney is for.

Easily. If i get control of your computer, I can print anything I want. And it is so easy to get control of someone's computer.

For example, call the person up and say you work for the Internet provider and you need to remotely control his computer to do some service. It's called social engineering and it happens all the time.

With Windows Vista, I can get control of your computer using the built in speech recognition software. Send a sound file in an email, it plays, the speech rec software picks it up and performs the command I say.

HA HA too much fun!

I just read what a poster posted. Just because the media prints it, does not make it true.

I am just suggesting people, don't jump to conclusions based on early news reports and message boards.. You may owe someone a big apology.

Without getting into details.. We had a situation at my work where an employee was arrested for something similar. The initial police reports said all kinds of things like this one does.

We were all shocked and appalled. We thought we knew this man.

Turned out the initial reports weren't true and in the end the charges were dropped. While he had pornographic materials, none of it was determined to be child porn in the end.

That of course did NOT make the front page of the newspaper and this man's life and reputation was ruined -- for nothing in his case.

Sometimes these stories can be very sensationlistic... Certainly from the sounds of this case.. it *sounds* different than the one I'm describing.
