Clumsiest family EVER stays at Candy Cane Inn

LOVED CCI and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Hopefully they'll take us back.

DS6 climbed under the covers to go to sleep. DH finally found the ice bucket, glasses and tray (in the armoire near the fridge). DH puts the whole tray on ds's bed. I'm watching Seinfeld. DH goes to the bathroom. Then the crash of broken glass. DS turned over and kicked the tray off the bed by accident. Glass all over. I climb to my sneakers and pick up the biggest chunks. Have to call housekeeping to vaccuum slivers.

I tell DH to put on the weather channel while we're waiting. The tube on the tv blows and theres just one white line across the tv. Now we call back and tell them the tv's dead.

Gave some nice tips to the pool guys that came and fixed everything.

A few days later I'm brushing my hair and the brush slips out of my hands and right to (you guessed it) a glass.

I can't believe they kept giving us glasses after that.

That's hysterical. At least no one got shards of glass in their toes

Our first trip to CCI was a disaster for them also, we have since returned many times. We had a large family group all checking in at different times but wanted to be close together. We had smokers and non so that was a logistical nightmare for them I'm sure. My MIL broke the fridge door off, they kindly replaced it. My FIL burned a hole in the comforter. My MIL had her laundry locked in the laundry room and made them open it at midnight. My son insisted on helping them sweep in front of our room every day. My nephew broke something . The topper was as we left my son threw up all over the walkway they had just cleaned. They were wonderful and gave us old pool towels and garbage bags, just in case we needed them on way to airport.
They always welcome us back, thank goodness!

We are staying at CCI for the first time this Aug, hopefully our stay will be much more uneventfull Glad to hear that the staff is so great though

The staff was great. The grounds looked and smelled heavenly.

We decided not to rent a car for our week due to the closeness of the parks. One day we wanted to go to Knotts for chicken and decided to rent a car for the day and were going to walk to Dollar (pretty close). Front desk found a local rental car that came and picked us up, gave us a better rate and picked up the car from CCI the next day (just left the keys at the front desk).

We've never had this happen before in our many Disney trips and hopefully never will again.

Sorry to laugh, but that is too darn funny!! Glad no one got hurt!!!

The rental car ended up working out, that's awesome!!! Glad to hear you liked the Candy Cane, I have been wanting to try it~!!
