In an alarming move, The Walt Disney World has announced that it is lifting the limit of four to a room in most of it's Valued and Middle hotels. There is a twist though. Citing the same logic that one of The Walt Disney World's manager's fathers used on the manager to get the manager to quit smoking when he was little, the limit has now been raised to a MINIMUM of 15 quests per room. My sources tell me that The Walt Disney World hopes that the experience will be so terrible that it will make people kick the bad, bad, bad habit of putting too many people in each room. Parties of less than 15 guests will be combined to reach the magic number. Kids who are 12 and under will be stacked, on atop the other, until they reach a height of six feet tall and, combined, will count as one person.
So, expect the Marginal Gatherings promotion to continue for quite a while longer!
As an aside, I'm not at all in favor of this plan, but, if this is what it takes for The Walt Disney World to get flagrant room over-crowders back in line and to make the whole experience more enjoyable for all of us, then I am willing to put up with it in the short term!
