Club Villain - Applying AP discount

Hi! We currently have reservations for Club Villain on Dec. 17 and I noticed they are now offering an AP discount. We will be upgrading some tickets to AP's when we arrive at WDW on Dec. 16. Do you think if I go to our resort concierge they would be able to retroactively give us the discount once we have our AP's in hand? Or is another way I should go about securing the discount? I guess my other option would be to buy a voucher now and save one set of tickets to use to upgrade next year, but I'd rather not do that if I don't have to.

Thanks for your advice!

They should be able to. I purchased online tickets for Club Villain for January and the discount wasn't applied. I called up and asked for the discount and they were able to fix it over the phone. I don't see why they won't be able to do that in person.

Folks had good luck last winter having it adjusted at Guest Relations in the park prior to event and some said they adjusted it right there at CV podium but I wouldn't leave it to that last minute. Try your hotel but I've had minimal success at hotels with any kind of adjustments or working with things already "done."

Thank you to both of you! My plan, now, is to upgrade to the AP's as soon as we get there on Dec. 16 and then attempt to get the discount then. I'll try guest services at DHS first (that's our first park), but if that doesn't work, I may just call dining and try to get the adjustment through them.

HopperFan, I agree. I was once able to get a retroactive discount on Sandcastle Club at concierge at BC (this was after the refurb and I had pre-paid the new, fixed fee before they had introduced any discounts) and, while they were finally able to give me the discount, it took a lot of time and a few CM's. Not sure if it was worth the $8 I saved. But for a $60 discount on Club Villain, I will certainly try!!!! :)

1) MAYBE.
2) There are only a certain amount of discount tickets available.
3) Once gone, they are gone and full price is charged.
4) If you want to go, get your discounted tickets as early as possible!

NOTE: MrsRustyScupper went last year with DD1 and friends. We tried to get the drastically discounted CM tickets, but were told ALL discounts had been used/taken, so even our friend's AP wasn't available for a discount, let alone our CM discount.

Honestly, I'm a little skeptical of this and would have, personally, pushed it a little. No where in their advertising do they say there are a limited number of tickets available for this offer. They don't limit the number of AP discounts for other events (MVMCP, etc.). I'm not sure why this would be an exception.

Annual passholders and Disney Vacation Club owners can get a discounted ticket for $99 (tax and gratuity included) on select dates through 1/28/17. AP holders call 407-WDW-DINE and DVC members call 800-800-9800.

I have AP vouchers as well. I called a couple days ago to have the discount retroactively applied to my Dec 23 tickets. I thought this would be possible because I was able to get the AP discount for CRT & SoA even though my pass isn't activated yet. It did not work this time. The CM didn't understand the difference between an AP & a voucher for an AP. She could not figure out how to apply the discount. From what she said though, it would have been simple with an actual AP # to input though.

The funny part is, after 10 minutes or so on the phone I realized that the discount is also available for DVC members. So after wasting a bunch of time, I was able to get the discount that way.

Op, the issue you may find yourself in is that you did not possess an active AP at original purchase.

GS was able to refund us the AP difference for our MVMCP tickets last week onto a GC, but not without verifying that we had a valid/active AP at POS.

However, I hope it works out for you.
