Club Level Turndown Service?

We just got back from a 6 night stay at the Yacht Club August 4th to August 10th We stayed club level. 2 days into our stay I noticed no one coming for turn down service to our club level room on the 5th floor. I asked concierge when they were coming and he told us they stopped turn down service last week??? He also said they only offer turn down now in bedroom suites. We were never informed of this at all either before our stay or at checking in completely surprised. At time of booking it said there still was turn down service on their website. On a good note the refurbished rooms are great but we will in the future carefully see if we still want to do Club.

Thoughts anyone?

The one time we stayed club level (Boardwalk Inn), we decided that turndown service wasn't a biggie, and put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on out door if we were in the room. We preferred to not have someone come in just to tuck the top part of the covers down, and leave a piece of candy we didn't want....plus we always felt that we needed to leave an additional tip for the service, so...for us... Nope...not needed.
 
We did not receive any turn down service when we stayed club level at the CR in April. I was disappointed, but figured they must be incredibly busy due to the spring break crowds. Now I wonder.
 
Is that the same for standard rooms? How odd.

I couldn't live without it for 14 nights!
 

Turn down service making sure you have towels wash clothes and placing candy on the bed was only available in the club level. What stands club level and standard rooms apart is the club lounge food and turn down service.
 
Just so you know...and I don't want to go into how to add a pic here #aintgottimeforthat but I read your TR OP and went quickly to check on a CL room on the WDW site and it said that Turndown is included as part of CL.

We all know that the website is well...not quite the best. BUT IMHO I think you should email guest services do a screenshot of what is included and also tell them about the rude CM regarding your packages. We experienced rudeness at YCCL almost 4 years ago and guest services made it right. We however will never go back to YC because of the treatment we received.
 
Just checked out of AKL club level today, turn down service every night except for last night for some reason? Also, no chocolates on the pillow any night. We were going to call and request them but never got around to it. We dried our tears with all the sweet goodies in the lounge!
 
We did a split Poly CL/YC CL. At Poly we received turndown service. YC was a different story...

I was disappointed that we did not receive turndown service the previous evening so I stopped at the YC CL desk to request it for that night. I was curtly informed that YC no longer offered turn down service. I expressed surprise at this since it is one of the benefits of staying CL. The gentleman at the desk huffed a little and snottily said "Well, I can call down to housekeeping, but since we no longer offer the service, I don't know what they will do." I told him to forget it.

Totally what I experienced last week.... this is crazy most all other resorts have turn down service we paid for it and received nothing! All I know is the survey for our stay is waiting in my email from Disney. We have stayed Club at Yacht Club three times Poly AK three times WL and always received turn down??

There was a large convention at Yacht Club wonder if this had an effect??

Really? We had turndown service - well, a knock at the door for turndown service which I declined and was given a handful of chocolates every day. :) At AKV CL that is.

we stayed at AKL CL this past spring and got three little chocolates every day on our bed! But not this trip. Last time we stayed on the zebra Trail side, this time the Kudo trail. Maybe it's chocolate free on that Trail side! ;) I ate my weight in rice crispy treats in the lounge to make up for it!

Ah. I have no idea what trail we were on, but we were on the 6th floor, last room so it was a long walk from the elevators to the room every day, LOL. But we always got a knock on the door for turndown service, which we declined so we got a handful of chocolates each night ;)

Say it isn't so! We are doing our very first CL stay at AKL next week, just for one night, and I was looking forward to the turndown service AND the chocolates! No chocolates makes me very :( as this is most likely our first and last CL stay.
 
Jumping on this thread as well; we're checking in at AKL in standard room CL and will let you know.
 
We were in a non-CL room at GF last year and received turn down service.

I've read somewhere on these boards before that you can call and request turn down service at any deluxe, even if not CL.

Did you requested that? I had the feeling that GF offered turndown for each rooms.

(Disney trivia: the Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris offer turndown for each and every guests, and is the only resorts to do so. I was thinking this is the same at Disneyland, CA.)
