Heading to the Polynesian resort the end of April, club level booked for my family of 5. Should I request a certain room? Where are they located in the resort? Any photos of what the rooms will look like? Any tips or comments appreciated.. Thanks in advance.

Poly CL - Fun! I've stayed in a variety of rooms there. As @AquaDame notes, whatever view category you booked impacts the answers to most of your questions. I can share pics and any feedback that may be relevant with that info. Thanks!

That would be great, it's a garden view i believe.

Ahh, ok - that makes it easier. You're in for a treat, I love Poly CL.

You'll be in the Hawaii building. All Garden View rooms face south towards the Oasis Pool/courtyard. See the yellow outline on the map below over the Hawaii building - all the GV rooms are on this side. The other side has TPV and LV rooms. NOTE - this map for some reason does not show the Oasis Pool. That big green courtyard is actually the Oasis Pool and Bar/Grill. It's very new and fantastic, in my humble opinion.

As you can see, one GREAT attribute about the Hawaii longhouse is that you're just steps from both pools.

For room requests, I would focus on the floor. All first floor rooms have walk out patios, third floor rooms have walk-out balconies. The second floor does NOT have balaconies, only a balcony door that opens to an immediate railing. 9 out of 10 people generally don't want a second floor room given the lack of balcony, so you'll find most folks request to either be on the first of third floor. Personally I like being on the third floor just to not have noise above me, but that's not that important.

The CL lounge is on the left side of the Hawaii building when looking at that map above. The main CL lounge is on the second floor with a smaller seating area on the third. All floors are connected via a convenient stairwell or escalator.

Other than the floor and proximity to the lounge, all of the rooms are pretty much identical with only small variations in the view from your room. Some rooms have a more open view of the pool than others, some may be more obscured by trees or plants.

I was just down there in Feb and posted a bunch of room and lounge pics over on the CL thread if you want to go search over there.

Have fun!

Thanks so much for all of that, really. It looks great. I have stayed only at the beach club, club level rooms and loved it there, so hoping we have an amazing time at the polynesian as well.

All club level rooms at the poly are in the Hawaii building. Which cat did you book...? Garden view, lagoon or theme park?

We are going in July and staying CL. We are asking to stay on the second floor because we want to be on the same floor as the lounge. Since we just have a standard view, I would choose a first floor patio as my second choice.

Here's a better aerial shot that shows the new Oasis pool. The Hawaii Garden View rooms are circled in yellow. Sorry for the crude formatting! You could argue it's a bit better to be in a room more towards the middle of the building. The first few GV rooms from the left look more towards the side of that other building and are above/near the service entrance.

Wow, you are so awesome, thanks again.

Thank you, i'm so glad you posted all of that. Thanks, it really does help. We are very excited for our stay.

Hope you have fun! I've only been to BC CL one night (last summer) so don't have a ton of experience over there. Generally speaking I found the food/lounge offerings at BC to be way better than Poly, but the Poly lounge/setting is so much better than BC (and most other CLs). It's nice that all rooms are generally close and only down a straight hallway vs. BC which can be a haul.

Since you're a family of 5 I'm sure you'll like the guranteed daybed and larger rooms too!

Thanks, Yes it can be a far walk at the BC to get to the room lol . That I do remember. The food looks fine from the pics you posted. Using for quick breakfast mostly so im sure it will be fine. eggs, oatmeal and fruit and we are good. With 5 people it is a challenge to find a room to fit us without going the villa route or getting two rooms so i was glad to find this when I was looking to book. We love the BC pools and ice cream shop and access to epcot and BW HS but we have stayed several times there and once at AK and now looking for something different. Surprising my kids as they have always wanted to stay at a "Monorail hotel" this was there favorite.
