We love it!!
I'm the kind of person who is willing to for a building location and at Poly the only way to do so is staying CL. I love the location. Yes there are other buildings just as central to everything but there's no way to guarantee that we'd get the requested location while staying CL does guarantee it (though if we were upgraded to Tonga I'm just not sure how I'd feel about it despite the fact that it would be a HUGE upgrade because I don't like the location as much).
We prefer a garden view 1st floor room. So far we've always gotten the 1st floor request and so far we haven't been upgraded in any way and frankly I'm not sure how I'd feel about the upgrade even in view because that would mean the other side of the building and we really like walking out our patio door to the quiet pool.
We spend a lot of time at our resort so we really like the little things like robes in the rooms, being able to borrow board games and being able to borrow movies. We also like the delivery of packages to the room rather than having to go pick them up.
Sure we can bring snacks with us and/or order groceries and we do when we don't stay CL but there's something about the CL offerings that we love. My kids and I have laundry lists of allergies and the chefs there are AMAZING. My oldest is autistic so we can't really sit comfortably in too many restaurants all day but the chefs there make sure our kids have food to eat and we can bring it back to our room to eat quietly and calmly (we typically do a big TS lunch so snack type dinner is just right for us). We typically only eat light breakfasts anyway so really the food offerings are just perfect for us.
We also really like the lounge for being able to watch the fireworks and electric water parade in the evening if there's bad weather or even if we just don't want to deal with the sand and mob on the beach (we do the beach as well but it's a nice alternative).
I've also found that the CL CMs that we've dealt with have just been wonderful and seem to always be able to put smiles on our faces. Yes there are CMs at other resorts who consistently do the same (gotta love Woody, the greeter at YC; he was one of the highlights of our stay there) but it seems as though every single CM we get talking with at Poly in the Hawaii building always makes us smile. They just have such a great attitude.
Obviously I drank the kool-aide. LOL
