Club level at the Poly?

We love it!!

I'm the kind of person who is willing to for a building location and at Poly the only way to do so is staying CL. I love the location. Yes there are other buildings just as central to everything but there's no way to guarantee that we'd get the requested location while staying CL does guarantee it (though if we were upgraded to Tonga I'm just not sure how I'd feel about it despite the fact that it would be a HUGE upgrade because I don't like the location as much).

We prefer a garden view 1st floor room. So far we've always gotten the 1st floor request and so far we haven't been upgraded in any way and frankly I'm not sure how I'd feel about the upgrade even in view because that would mean the other side of the building and we really like walking out our patio door to the quiet pool.

We spend a lot of time at our resort so we really like the little things like robes in the rooms, being able to borrow board games and being able to borrow movies. We also like the delivery of packages to the room rather than having to go pick them up.

Sure we can bring snacks with us and/or order groceries and we do when we don't stay CL but there's something about the CL offerings that we love. My kids and I have laundry lists of allergies and the chefs there are AMAZING. My oldest is autistic so we can't really sit comfortably in too many restaurants all day but the chefs there make sure our kids have food to eat and we can bring it back to our room to eat quietly and calmly (we typically do a big TS lunch so snack type dinner is just right for us). We typically only eat light breakfasts anyway so really the food offerings are just perfect for us.

We also really like the lounge for being able to watch the fireworks and electric water parade in the evening if there's bad weather or even if we just don't want to deal with the sand and mob on the beach (we do the beach as well but it's a nice alternative).

I've also found that the CL CMs that we've dealt with have just been wonderful and seem to always be able to put smiles on our faces. Yes there are CMs at other resorts who consistently do the same (gotta love Woody, the greeter at YC; he was one of the highlights of our stay there) but it seems as though every single CM we get talking with at Poly in the Hawaii building always makes us smile. They just have such a great attitude.

Obviously I drank the kool-aide. LOL

:thumbsup2 Kool-aid for me to! :thumbsup2

We have stayed Poly CL several times since our 2 DS's were little - and they insist we keep going back. I throw out other CL's and they are just not interested.

Poly has our family's loyalty, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

One of my favorite things about Poly CL is proximity to the pool and beach. It is so nice to be able to easily transport food and drink back and forth. The CM were always accommodating to give paper plates to bring pool side. I also like have CL in it's own building. No one can wander in or out unless they have the "gold KTTW card" for the Hawaii building. It just feels a little safer. We were always able to knock on the kitchen door and ask for what we needed if we did not see it available. It was always given with a smile. Granted nothing is perfect. But there are more pluses than minuses IMO.

Can anyone who has stayed recently comment on the food offerings being too limited to serve everyone and not replenished? This isn't a huge issue for us really, but I was kind of counting on having some quick and accessible breakfasts/snacks available there for DS4.

Is it really always as limited as I've read in some reviews? Should I plan on missing out and just bring our own?

We were there in September and everything was always replenished and fresh. One night it was about 9:50 and they brought out 2 new trays of desserts since they were running low.

We stayed in Oct 2011 and the food was always replenished. This was during, from what I was told, a sold-out CL stay.

We were there in September and found everything to be fantastic. There was always plenty of fresh food and drink, and there was always something that appealed to everyone in our group. We LOVED everything about CL, and DH said he will never do Disney any other way!

We always loved the CL because the large lounge is open all the time. I'm a early riser so while the food isn't available till 7 a.m. you can sit there and have coffee. The other CL resorts are only open certain hours.

But I have noticed over the years the food offerings have been scaled down.

I've done both and both are good, but we did enjoy the club level.

My last 5 trips have been CL. When we travel we travel with the grandchildren and there's usually 5 of us in the room so CL is well worth the extra money for our group.

We travel off season, have AP and always get a great deal. I would never pay rack rate for any of the deluxe resorts. While the rooms are larger, with great locations their still just a room, no different then the other rooms at the resort, nothing special for what Disney charges.

As far as the CL experience goes, I book through Dreams and they make my reservations.

I do love CL though.
