Has anyone ever stayed at any of the club intrawest resorts?

Are they nice? How do you book them?

I have stayed in Whistler a few times but I used Intrawest Discovery points... where are you thinking of going to?

We have a friend that owns a condo in Snowshoe, WV. We love it there. Skiing in the winter and lots of stuff to do in the summer as well (biking, geocaching, etc.).

We've never used any kinds of points to go there though.

I have stayed several times in 2 bedroom units at the Club Intrawest resort in Sandestin.

I love the Sandestin area. The beaches in the Sandestin area are some of the best in the panhandle. I have stayed throughout the panhandle at many resorts over the last 30 plus years so I know the area.

The Club Intrawest resort there is not beach front but there are shuttles that come as soon as you call them to and from the resort to the beach, the village, shopping, etc.

The village is great for restaurants, live entertainment and shoping. It has been expanded in the last year or two.

There is also lots of other upscale shopping and good restaurants to which you can take the shuttle that are located outside of the village.

My impression of the actual Club Intrawest units at Sandestin is that they are roomy but dated. The appliances were new, but not the furniture, beds and bedding and flooring. Also, when I go to the beach, I like to be located ocean front. If that is not an issue with you, you might like to stay there. There are several good pools and a room where you can screen a long list of movies.

My sister and her husband own a small timeshare contract there and has been there many times. She normally books a two bedroom that has 2 bathrooms and she books the view overlooking the pool and beyond the bay. This year she traded 120 points around the time of the oil spill thinking the beaches would be spoiled for awhile and was able to snag a 1 bedroom at VVL at Disney. She is there right now and having a ball.

The beaches are supposed to be fine right now from what I hear.

Good luck and feel free to ask further questions if you are looking for the sandestin resort.

I was looking at either the Sandestin, Desert Palm, or Whistler. I wish DVC had a nice ski resort. I will probably just stay at Vero for the ocean front. We have a 3 night stay booked there at the end of May followed by 3 nights at BCV. Just weighing my options. Thanks for the advice. It is really hard to tell what a resort actually looks like versus the old photos. Has anyone stayed at the intrawest in Mexico? Is this area of Mexico safe? It seems close to Acupulco where they just found that mass grave of dead people.

when I go home tonight I'll see if I have get any photos from our whistler stay of our room... great thing with whistler is that is it's just a 1.5 hour drive and we're in the village.

We've stayed at the Blue Mountain in Ontario but not using Disney points. It's a beautiful resort, and we went to the sales pitch. The sales presentation wasn't a good experience, but otherwise it was a great trip.

My wife and I have a trip planned in February using our DVC points for a 1 bedroom at Club Intrawest in Zihuatanejo, Mexico.
I have heard many good things about this resort from other sites such as trip advisor, but I was wondering if anyone in the DVC family had any thoughts.
I will surely post my experience when I get back.
