We're looking at options for our summer vacation and I'm interested in the Club Intrawest - Blue Mountain. Has anyone stayed there before? I'm checking trip advisor, too, but thought I'd see what experiences our fellow-DISers might have had.

And if you haven't stayed at the Blue Mountain one but have experience with Club Intrawest and exchanging to stay there, I'd love to hear about that as well. We've only stayed DVC so far (and only in Orlando) but we're ready to branch out :)

I haven't been and can't find much on it. It looks to be a relatively small to medium size resort set up with lodge type buildings around a couple of pools and a pond. The units all start on Sunday so you'd have a better chance if you didn't cross over between 2 weeks. Mid summer is high time but I'd guess you have a decent chance if you plan far enough out.. They do have studio, 1 & 2 BR units but I couldn't find the mix. There are no reviews on TUG, 1 somewhat neg one on redweeks related to poor skiing in winter and one positive one on RCI's review section. You can go to clubintrawest.com and I have the resorts direct email if you have need to communicated with them for more personal or resort specific details. for 6 days or longer you can reserve at 7 months plus 7 days out and I'd recommend you contact DVC ahead of time to do some planning and be prepared to move when day one opens up. Good luck and let us know what happens if you move forward.

Dean - thanks for the reply and the info about planning ahead. I'm checking airfare now to have an idea about how much that would cost to make sure it wouldn't be prohibitive. I love having the thought of accomodations-cost out (relatively) of the picture :)

We live near Blue Mountains and often go there for day trips. We love to spend time at Plunge! (pool) and hang out at the village and eat at the restaurants. There are some new ones that just opened.

Hey nzdisneymom, or anyone, can you write a review of the place? We are planning to go there for our vacation, Thanks.

Hi, we live about 40 minutes from blue mountain. We love to visit in the fall when it is apple season. The resort looks nice from the outside and it is not very old. It is a very short drive to Wasaga beach, which is the longest fresh water beach in the world. It is an hour and change to Toronto, where there is lots to see and do. They were building a mini golf and some sort of ride down the mountain last fall that looked very interesting. I think they also have mountain biking as well. If your looking for flights, we find flying into Buffalo, ny, alot cheaper (don't know if it makes a difference when booking from the states) It would be about a 3.5 hour drive to blue mountain but may be worth it.
