i know there's got to be someone whos been to club 33 on this forum. my friends and i were just wonderin about your experience at club 33. how long did it take for you to get a membership...to get into the club? how much is membership? i know you have to wait a loooooonnnngggg time on the waitin list now to get in. what is the atmosphere like in there? what kind of food do they serve? met anyone famous in there? we just want to know all...we see the door and some people go in all the time that we go to DL. it looks so cool and so exclusive.

I don't have a membership but was fortunate enough to get in once. My company has a corporate membership and allows us to have our anniversary meal there with 25 or more years of service. A co-worker knows how much I love Disneyland so she invited me to her party. It was $45-55 per person, can't remember exactly, and that included park admission and your meal.

I was told they had just recently changed the format, previously lunch was entirely a buffet. But when we went, there were appetizers as a buffet, then you ordered an entree. The food was good but not overly impressive. Didn't see anyone famous, but I'm really bad at noticing people anyway.

My understanding is that an individual membership costs around $7500, with annual dues around $3000/year. I heard of people waiting over 3 years to join.

I was lucky enough visit Club 33 for lunch last August. Actually, I got in through someome I met on these boards! It was wonderful!!! The service and food was everything you would expect, along the line of a good french restaurant. There was a lovely appetizer/salad bar with fresh fruits, cheeses, pate, salads, and seafoods. There was also a lovely dessert bar with cheesecake, moose, chocolate cake, and more. There were a few main courses to choose from (I had lamb). Everything was fabulous.

They actually have two dining rooms; one more exclusive than the other. If "anyone famous" was around, they were in the other dining room. We went when it first opened (11:00AM) and there weren't many other guests in our dining room at the time.

The compy my brother-in-law used to work for has a membership, so I've been for both dinner and lunch there. Dinner was alot better. Even with a membership, you have to make reseravations 1-2 months in advance and you don't always get your choice of dates.

He no longer works for that company, so I don't get to go anymore :( . But it was a great experience and I'd love to go again someday.

Wow... I was wondering the same thing.
How to join, fees, etc. etc.

But over 10 grand a year sounds too rich for my blood.
I can get another 100 DVC points with that and it'll last me another 40-50 years... hehe

I've been on the list for 2 and a half years. I've been very fortunate to have dinner up there quite a few times in the past. It is a remarkable experience. We have our favorite waiter, Louis, who takes care of us wonderfully. I have only been there for dinner and really have no desire to do the lunch. I enjoy taking the time in the evening and just enjoying the company of those I'm with.

Single memberships were $7,500 for the initiation and $3,025 per year when we applied for membership. It may have gone up slightly. This gets you 2 Annual passes, valet parking at the Grand California and the ability to eat at the Club. Is it worth it? Well, that will be debated for a LONG time.

Your meal will cost a minimum of the regular admission price to the park. They have a lovely wine and food pairing menu that runs about $100 pp though you can have a fantastic chateaubriand for about $56.

The staff is wonderful from the hostess who buzzes you in to the maitre'd who greets you when you step off the lift, to your table waitstaff. We love it.

If you get to go, take the time to savor the whole experience.

Best wishes.
Michael

Thank you for everyone's responses!
If I ever get the chance I would definitely savor the moment. Wow...it's a little too rich for my pocket right now...hehee. But I understand...with all the money you put into it to be a member you get all that cool awesome experience. Anywayz...I guess when I go to DL and DCA again in Dec. I'll just walk by and remember what everyone said about it. Very neat! :)
Thanx again everyone!

The company I work for has a corporate membership which we use to entertain clients and such in Southern California... needless to say this is the best employee perk EVER. I see the one time charge on our Amex transactions and I won't discuss any numbers, but its in the mid 5 digits

I sent in the letter that they requested and have not receive anything acknowledging that they received it. Did you get anything? I am just assuming that our name was added. TIA

I believe we did get the acknowledgement. You can call the main number for 33 to see where you might be on the list. I'm sure they don't like LOTS of calls, but if you've sent your request in I think you need to sort of track it.

I do know that once they send you a letter asking if you're still interested and they have an opening you have a VERY short time to send your check in.

We are still contemplating if we really want to do such a thing.....
