I got to eat at the Disneyland Club 33 about 11-12 years ago. Family member had a connection and upon hearing I had never been, he worked with his contact to get us reservations. It was a truly amazing experience and something I doubt will ever happen again.

Oh and from what I have heard, most members do not share that they are members to prevent being bombarded with requests for reservations.

There are actually two different versions of Club 33. The one in Disneyland is entirely separate and different that the WDW version. Disneyland's Club 33 is a very nice, upscale, full restaurant.
Club 33 at WDW is more like 4 (one in each park) different lounges with food options that are more like snack kind of things. Nice, but definitely not fine dining.

Had the lunch buffet at the DLR Club 33 about 20 years ago. Very cool, wait staff had some wonderful anecdotes about the history and some trivia about the venue.

There was a small cabinet of Club 33 merch, I bought a shot glass that was something like $30 lol. But it was a "Now or never" situation so I went for it.

Did you send a long email or just request? Just curious if they are looking for something specific in the request letter.

We got to go in DL this past March because my DW’s brother knows the queen of produce in Southern CA. 5 star for sure!!

The lady that got us in was insistent that we not pay for anything. She covered it all. Couldn’t even tip!! Classy gal. We made up for it in the little club 33 store

I met a member about a year ago. They asked if I wanted to partake of any of the perks, but I simply didn’t have the time due to a prior commitment. I can see where if word got out, they might be bombarded with requests.

I am fortunate enough to know three current members of Disneyland’s Club 33 and my uncle’s employer used to have a corporate membership. I have been to the club several times over the years. It is such fine dining and a truly special experience each time. I was most recently there in May for dinner. I love the balconies overlooking New Orleans Square the most! We previously met Santa one December which was also fun. There is often something special going on.

The newer lounge is restricted to actual members and their guests, whereas for the dining room the member can make reservations and not accompany their guests. The lounge has small plates and drinks. Certain members can also access 1901 Lounge at DCA, which is part of Carthay Circle. It is also lovely.

The members I know confirmed that while you can write in to join the waitlist, they carefully vet the list and if you do not personally know any current members to recommend you, your chances of being offered a membership are slim (unless you are a high profile figure who Disney would like as a member). Think country club level vetting. All of them got in through connections from existing members.

Absolutely. The members I know keep it very quiet and discreet. They have a limit technically on how many invites they can extend each year, although it is a generous one. They are also responsible for their guest’s behavior while at the club, so naturally most will only take close friends or trusted personal or business acquaintances.
