Club 33

That would be nice to do. A one time thing, I would deffinatly do that. But I wouldnt buy the membership.

I think the majority are in the same boat. But based on the 14 year waiting list that is now closed, about 480 0r so memberships allowed, there must be a few people who can afford it.

It would be fun have a different eating and ambiance experience.

The company I work for has a membership in our Los Angeles office. So, it is corporate owned not personally owned. The lead contact gets passed partner to partner as the years go on. I'm not sure how many years we have had membership, but I first visited Club 33 15 years ago, my second was just last month. I'm sure many clients have been given the opportunity to dine there because of the reservation through my firm. Talk about goodwill!

I honestly cannot stop thinking about our lunch there last month. It was beyond what I expected (even though I went 15 years ago, I hardly remember that trip). Everyone that works there is so nice and willing to tell you about all the different pictures, paintings and history in Club 33. It was truly remarkable and memorable.

For me, it as an honor to go and worth every penny. So much, that we are going back to DLR in August and we are going to go again!

To add to that, the person inviting does not need to go with you. They just make the reservations in your name. You then go to guest services outside Disneyland where they give you a day pass to enter DL.

Quick question about this..

We may be going to Club 33 in August *fingers crossed* hopefully for dinner. I haven't bought our park hoppers yet because I wondered if the entry with Club 33 included all day in the parks. So could I pick up the park passes in the morning, enjoy the parks, and then come back in the evening for dinner?

Yes, you can pick the passes up in the morning. They are only valid for that day and don't have any upgrade value to them.

I've heard of Club 33 but what exactly is it like? Has anyone on dis ever seen it or heard about what it's like?

Hey SeattleTink!

We're going the first week of August- hoping to hear on Club 33 ressies soon! When are you going?

Wish I knew someone who was a member. DH and I are going to Disneyland for the first time in May. We usually inhabit The World in FL. I think we're going to do the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour. We'll have to settle for a peek at the lobby. :)

...I further suspect that exceptions are made for a big player that wants a membership without waiting. For example, if Larry David wanted in, he'd likely get a Club 33 FastPass ;-).

Rob

There is no Club33 FP. There is a limit to the number of memberships. As soon as one drops out, the first on the waiting list is contacted and given the option to join or pass.

As for the money / saving to join aspect. I don' know how old you are (and am not asking), but think of your life in 15 years. In theory, over those 15 years, you will have placed yourself in a different economic bracket than you are now.

Also, it's not eant to be for everyone. That's whhat makkes it special.

We just dined here last week. The food and the experience was outstanding. It was a real treat to be able to do this.

We were very lucky enough to be able to go last year due to a wonderful member. Sure, it's pricey (any great restaurant would be), but each person gets a parkhopper for free. The food was amazing, the staff is some of the best around and you're treated like royalty. The ambience is tops and being able to end your day at DL with a couple cocktails and then sit on the patio above NOS, is the best.

I believe it's something that every person should definitely experience and not pass up if given the opportunity. We are lucky enough to be able to go again the first weekend in October this year and cannot wait.

If given the opportunity, we'd go each time we're at DL.

We got to visit Club 33 last August. My expectations were pretty high. I'd read a lot of things about it before hand and I couldn't have expected more from the experience. I was not at all disappointed!

Club 33 is a little like going to the White House. You're eating in a place that less than 1% of the population will ever get to see the inside of. The entire experience of pressing the buzzer, being let inside, going upstairs in the lift and walking down the gallery to the dining room was pretty spectacular.

Here are some pictures from our visit:

We were there for lunch. There was an appetizer buffet that not only included salads and fruit but shrimp, crab and lobster.

The menu was equally impressive and the dessert buffet did not disappoint. The service was superior.

These little beauties were smores martinis. They were quite good:

At least for us, the entire experience was underlined by the fact that WE WERE IN CLUB 33! We couldn't get over it. When our meal was done, we walked out on the balcony and looked down on New Orleans Square and took it all in. We were upstairs in a Disney building! I'm sure it would be special to watch Fantasmic from up there, but I assure you, just being there was something special.

I didn't take this picture:

Was it expensive? Yes. Did we really need the all the souvenirs we bought with the Club 33 logo? No. Was it worth it? Absolutely! And I'd do it again in an instant if given the opportunity. Only, the 2d time, I wouldn't buy three coffee mugs with the Club 33 logo on them.

All of that to say, you probably know someone who knows someone who works for a company that has a membership. Someone earlier in this thread explained that the member doesn't have to be present for you to enter the club. In our case, the actual member wasn't with us. So my encouragement for those of you who want to step inside Club 33 is start asking your friends and family members who work for companies in Southern California. You maybe surprised to learn one of them can get you inside. Good luck!

Hey SeattleTink!

We are going the end of August. Hope your reservation comes through. You can only book out 2 months in advance (at least that is why my contact told me).

Hope you have a great trip!

I think we should have a thread that if a Diser has a membership, they could work out something with someone who would want to try it out. haha I'm kidding but now I'm truly curious about the whole experience.

well, of all the things you can buy off ebay, you cannot buy club 33 reservations lol
