Go to yahoo.com and type in Club 33. There are some great sites just for Club 33. I cannot remember the one that I like, but you can check it out by doing a search. There are also a few other threads here on it as well already. It is a very nice membership only club, Very beautiful and has great food.

If I remember correctly, the joining fee is 7,500 and every subsequent year is 1,500. Club 33 doesn't change its number of members, so to get in you have to wait for someone to leave the club, and the waiting list is YEARS long.

Good luck.

Yes, you have to know a member and be invited by that member to dine at Club 33.

Gotta know a member, no other way around it. It's very cool, and very worth going. We've been twice, and loved it.

Okay, let's see....

- membership only
- waiting list is approximately 15 years
- currently there is a waiting list to just receive an application
- lunch is somewhere around $65/person (BUT - that includes admission into the Park)
- it's the only place in Disneyland that serves alcohol
- Individual members used to be: $10,00 for membership and 3,000/year
- Corporate used to be: $27,000 and $6,000 (i think)/yr.
- The only way to eat at Club33 if you are not a member is at the invitation of a member. (Occasionally, a charity will have a dinner at Club33 as an auction prize. This is possible because someone connected with the charity is a member or has access to a corporate membership and has donated the use of it for the evening to the winner... sort of "buy a friend for the night to help a good cause" if you want to think of it that way.)

When you enter through the Club33 door seen in New Orleans Square, there is a very small lobby. The "club" is upstairs. If you search on line, there are many pictures of the old-fashioned lift that goes upstairs and the interior.

With the waiting list as it is... Club33 is truly the longest line in Disneyland. ;)

- currently there is a waiting list to just receive an application Applications will not be accepted until approximately 2010 - 2011, so no applications are being distributed at this time.
- lunch is somewhere around $65/person (BUT - that includes admission into the Park) Lunch (buffet with entree from a menu) is the price of a single-park admission (currently $66), and includes a park hopper, as does dinner. It is simple to reach the minimum of $66 for dinner (a la carte or prix fixe). If the guest choses not to dine at the Club, there are penalties for the member.
- it's the only place in Disneyland that serves alcohol True!
- Individual members used to be: $10,00 for membership and 3,000/year Very close and subject to change.
- Corporate used to be: $27,000 and $6,000 (i think)/yr.

Auctioning admission to the club - even for a charity - is no longer permitted.

Curious when this rule happened. I have raised money for many wonderful organizations with this wonderful donated item. It had to be done exactly right to happen, but has always been possible. Would love to know any further details. Thanks.

As for the wait list... if you figure 2011 to even get an application, then a 10-12 year waiting list (last I checked), that's where I got about 15 years. Anyway, give or take a couple years, still the longest line in DLR. hehe

I went to that site and saw the most wonderful pictures of desserts! I think I would want to skip the meal and get straight to the important part!

Does anyone know what is in those Martini S'mores? :lovestruc

I've talked to some members I know and they said that auctioning admission is still OK. However you have to submit an application to Disney stating what organization you are trying to raise funds for also the manner of which it is going to be auctioned (silent, open bid, online etc..). And they have the right to refuse your auctioning it at any time. Breaking their rules = loss of membership... so no one in their right mind would risk it.;)

That had been my understanding (charity donations through a written agreement with the Club), but the 2007 & 2008 membership guides state:

2.14.2 Club 33 Members may not at any time...sell, barter, auction (charitable or otherwise, despite a donation to a charity), lease, loan or otherwise receive compensation, in exchange for either reservations to Club 33 or complimentary admission tickets into Disneyland Park or Disney's California Adventure Park. If this rule is violated, the Member's Club 33 membership will be terminated immediately. <snip> Members will not be given a warning or a second chance.

If one can still donate a dinner reservation to a charity auction (where the entire proceeds remain with the charity), that would be a good thing. We will inquire on our next visit, as we had hoped to do so.

there is another way to get into Club 33

I have learned that there have been breakfast get-togethers set up on another board that were open to anyone who had previously posted there.

That's a gross overestimation.

Not a single one of the members I know personally have waited longer than 5 years. One waited less than a year.

I'm sure that's just what they tell people to expect. Since they never raise the number of members they allow, new members are allowed basically when someone else gives up their membership. Which I know if I were a member, would be like NEVER. LOL So, yeah it could be several years, especially if you are far down on the waiting list. Sounds like the people you know were very lucky that spots opened up when they did for them.

That does seem a bit long, doesn't it? (I believe I said as much in an earlier post.) Our wait was 5 years; we know others who have waited 8 years. I suppose part of the difference would be the type of membership for which you were applying. There are both business and individual memberships, though I don't know the ratio the one to the other. If you applied for a corporate or company membership, an opening within individual memberships would not help you, and vice versa.

I envy the person who waited only 1 year. That's amazingly short. Do you think they would back-date ours? Nevermind; would probably want the back dues, too, huh?

There's a great deal of mystique about 'the Club' and exaggerated wait times is just one of the mysteries. There is an excellent parody of the Club's history making the rounds that incorporates many of the misconceptions - in a tongue-in-cheek manner.

We had plunked the funds for the initiation fee and first year's dues into a bank account when we first submitted our application so that we would be prepared should the offer come. Years passed, and we had just decided that perhaps this wasn't the wisest course to take when the letter arrived and we wrote the check! The best part of the Club is that it's a happy place.pixiedust:

I want to be a member so badly. But living in No. Cal it doesn't seem prudent to join. We only will get to DL 4-5 times a year. DH said I could get an application when they were available but asked if I was willing to give up my Coach purse collection in exchange. I am still thinking about it.:rolleyes1

The best date I have ever been on. Not with the best company but I loved it!!! Can't wait to go back again.

The food was good but it was winter and it was winter food. stews steaks. I'd like to try the summer faire.
