It would seem that my husband, whom I already held in the highest esteem, is even greater than I had previously suspected. He called me yesterday with the news that through a friend of a friend he would be able to take me to Club 33 when we are there this May.:cloud9:

Normally, I am a very loquacious, but when he told me my mouth seemed to go numb and I couldn't talk. When I finally was once again able to produce speech, it was of the babbling variety.

This is beyond a dream come true.

Today, I could just pinch myself to make sure it all really happened and he really told me we will be dining at Club 33. I am saving my pennies to afford several items from the "gift cabinet" because they are far too classy to have an entire gift shop. Such crass commercialism would be far too unseemly.

I will take many many photographs and write copiously of the experience for everyone. I never thought I would be able to attend, and as such, always really enjoyed the stories of others.

I feel like a princess!princess:

Congrats! I am immensely jealous. You'll have a fantastic time!!!

Oh man!!!! I want to go in May, my birthday is in May! I'm jealous and enviously awaiting your glowing report!!! CONGRATS!!

Get used to feeling like a princess because the staff there is totally going to treat you like one. :) You will have a great time.

My advice is to tell them it is your first trip. They will do a quick tour and there are generally some little freebies for newcomers.

Congrats!! I had a similar reaction when DH called me with the same news! :) Enjoy every last minute of it, it's such a special experience.

YEAH!! What a great guy you have. Have a great time and report back to us on your experience so I can live vicariously through you.

Yay for you. I think you may owe your husband something now.
I went last month for the first time. A friend of mine took me through a friend of theirs. We had a great time. The service and food were wonderful. We bought the mouse ears and the note cards. I didn't want the lunch to ever end, I wanted to stay up there forever.

Yea for you! I just went on Sunday, and yes it was everything I thought it would be and then some! We were fortunate enough to eat in the Trophy Room and so it was very cool. Could see those old microphones right in the chandeliers! There was so much history there. Wow.

I spent a small fortune on stuff from "the case" (gotta haves, don't know when I'll be able to go back!). It was delightful. My kids were so well behaved, and the service was great. Mickey and Pluto spent quite a while with us, and Pluto even signed DH and DS's Pluto hockey jerseys for them. :) I don't know how to post pictures, so maybe scrappinmom can do it! We got some great ones. :cool2:
