OMGosh! My husband comes home and says he was talking with someone he works with, who just got back from DL. Apparently he can get us in to Club 33 when we go in October. My husband, says "Have you heard of this Club 33?" I'm like "Uh yeah, what great Disney fan hasn't?" :rotfl:

Naturally I told him to have the guy hook us up. But as usual I have a few questions, for those of you who have been lucky enough to go.

I guess this guy said to just email him and he'll set it all up and he'll just let us know that it's done. Is there any way I can confirm it? I'm sure this guy is trustworthy and all, but as the over zealous planner of vacations, I like confirmations. hehe

Prices. I know it's really pricey (but hey totally worth it I'd think). But it would be good for me to know about how much I need to save (it would just be DH and I, thank goodness Mom will be there to babysit our son).

Is there any cool stuff you can buy that's only in there?

I'm just so excited now.

Oh no you didn't! :scared1:

I'm UBER jealous!!!

Ok, so I hope the guy is legit. I can't see any reason to lie about something like that.

I would budget at least $200 for food and maybe a little extra for souvies!

Did I mention how JEALOUS I am???

:lmao: You know I'd totally take all of you guys if I could. I could have my hubby ask the guy, how about a reservation for about say 50 people? :rolleyes1 Put it under the Dis. ;) Wouldn't that be FUN!! The DIS takes over Club 33!! :goodvibes

If I was invited, I'd have to bring at least 27 video cameras, 34 dslr's, tape recorder and a paper bag. Let us know how it is!

Give me 6 hours notice, and I am SO THERE! :thumbsup2 :dance3:

Lunch is the cost of admission +tax and tip, but you get a free ticket into the park, so not a bad deal! For dinner, you still get a ticket, but each item has individual costs.

I personally perfer lunch over dinner since you can eat from the buffet station for starters (lots of choices) and then order a main course (usually a beef, fish, pasta, or chicken option) and then have the buffet for dessert.

There are lots of interesting things to see in Club 33. Let your server know it is your first time and he will point out a lot of the facts. My favorite items come from the set of the Mary Poppins movie. :)

There will be a case full of merchandise that is club 33 exclusive. You can take your time looking at it throughout and after your meal. I really liked the Club 33 Mickey ears last time I was there. Not sure if they are still available. It has been about 6 months or so...

OH MY!!:cloud9: How cool is that?

OP - you are living one of my dreams. :cloud9: Enjoy. The rest of us here will have to live vicariously through you. Does your husband's work friend need any more friends? I'm available :lmao:

We just went for our anniversary yesterday. It was awesome and I will post more about it when I have time. If you have any specific questions, let me know. We did lunch. I thought the appetizer buffet was wonderful and the dessert buffet was to die for. We really enjoyed our visit and am sure you will too:)

oh carol what was the price for lunch buffet?
I am going next month thinking i would get into the park cheaper than the admission ticket.
tell me u can choose from a variety of meals

Congratulations!! You'll have a great time. If you're going for dinner, there is a $63 per person minimum that needs to be spent at the restaurant, but considering you get a complimentary one-day hopper with it, then it really works out to be a good deal. Of course if you're an AP holder, then, well, the deal doesn't seem as sweet, but you'll be at Club 33 so who cares?! :cool1:

When I was there in Feb. there was no dessert buffet at dinner. Strictly order off the menu. With the $63 pp minimum, you'll be able to enjoy salad, entree, and dessert, no problem. I had the king salmon... delicious. Or they offer a five course meal for $75 and I believe another $35 for the wine pairing.

I'm sure your husband's friend will provide you with specific details on your reservation. He will be charged a full ticket price if you no show, so I'm sure he'll be very specific for you.

The Club 33 Mickey ears are $15, mugs are $15 and $20, key chain is $15. Those are the goodies we bought, but they have others... polo shirts, pens, etc. We did get free pens from our waiter!! So cool!! And DD took a couple embossed hand towels from the bathroom.:rolleyes1 (I saw somebody selling some of these on Ebay this week. They're just paper towels, but they're embossed with Club 33 in gold. Cool, but I wouldn't buy them from someone off Ebay:confused:)

Anyway, let me know if you have any other questions.

Oh, and don't forget to go out on the balcony!! The view gave me goosebumps.

Okay, I need to call Dad and start hammering him on finding someone who can get us in. He seems to be able to do really cool things all the time in SoCal, so perhaps he can do this for us!

The lunch buffet was $63 for adults and the kids were $53. There is a variety of things to order for your entree. My husband had the steak, kids had the steak and I had the pasta. All total with our four meals-kids had drinks at $3 a piece- tax and tip came to a little over $300. If you can use the tickets for the day it actually is a very good value since you would have had to pay for the tickets anyway. We are annual passholders so the tickets didn't help us. We got them anyway just for keepsakes, and are glad we did because at the end of the day we saw the train that has the Lilly Belle caboose. We heard the caboose was reserved only for members and not guest of members, but we asked very nicely, told them we had eaten at Club 33 and showed them our tickets and they let us ride. It was so beautiful and elegant inside. If you get a chance to do this there is a guestbook to sign. The pen they give you to sign for your check is yours to keep. I didn't know this and left it at the table although I was SO tempted to take it. Then when we were leaving I asked our waiter if I couild purchase one. He told me it was ours to take and gave me two. As far as merchandise, there weren't any mouse ears on Thursday, but maybe there will be when you go if they change it often. We got some pins. There weren't mugs either, but this may change. We had a wonderful time! Enjoy!

Even though it is taboo, I am still trying to find a contact. Have a great time.
