Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining I know I am extremley lucky to get this opportunity but just curious on why that one day lunch costs more.

On Sundays they do brunch and you get a complimentary glass of champagne, if I remember correctly. They may also have character appearances. Have fun! :goodvibes

:cloud9:Oh that sounds wonderful I have dreamed of going here for years and reading others post about the club and what it means to them has brought tears to my eyes, gave me goosebumps and made me that much more excited to go. :cloud9:

I am on the fence on if I should bring my 17 yr old son he know's about Club 33 and how special it is but i still question if he will appreciate it or just be like yeah i've been there. :duck:

It is quite an unforgettable experience ... I was lucky enough to go last month (Lunch) ... I'm sure he'll appreciate it.

I guess it depends on his Disney attitude and knowledge my kids love every trip and they started when one was 15.

I took my DD for her 16th birthday last month, it was both of our first time and she was thrilled beyond belief, BUT she is a big fan of Disney so that may have been part of it. We did lunch on a Sunday, I had a free glass of champagne, she was given a free glass of sparkling cider (which I drank because she isn't a big fan of sparkling cider), we also met Pluto and Mickey who made a HUGE deal over her birthday button.

Yeah we have been going every year since my son was 5 and daughter 6 yrs old. They have never really gotten tired of going and love Disneyland. My daughter loves the nostalgia of Walt Disney and loved the Walt Disney Museum with me here in San Francisco. My son on the other hand got bored quickly. Like i said i know he will like it but im not sure if he will get he magic of it right now. Unfortunatley my daughter will be in college so she will miss out on this opportunity. Hopefully we will be able to get the opportunity again and i can go with both of them together.

This will be our 1st time going to Club 33 thanks to my sister in laws job but she doesnt get the magic of it (she is a new disney fan and still learning about all the disney magic) Hopefully our lunch will help her see the light and she will want to go again because right now she is looking at is as a thing that at least she can say she's been there at least once.

It's hard to compare Club 33 to the WDM. Sure there is incredibly interesting history and original artwork to view, but you get a delicious meal on top of the experience. Most 17 year old boys I know like to eat, so I think he might enjoy it.

There is not a place in our home where you will not see something that relates to Walt or Disneyland except the interior of a cat box. They have been raised Disney since day one.

We just had lunch there on Tuesday!! It was unbelievable. :cloud9:

We took our kids, ages 13, almost 9, and 7 (bday boy). DS7 does't really understand the specialness of it just yet, he just knows it is a nice place, and he loves to dress up. The other two know all about it and were very excited. When we got the message after lunch to come check out 1901, my DS13 started hustlin over to DCA. He is very into Disney magic, and has been telling me since about the age of 8 that he wants to be a Disney Imagineer.

All kids are different, so really only you can determine that. I am glad I took my kids, but if I was given the opportunity again, I would like to just go as the 2 of us.

Thank you everyone for your responses.:flower3:

I was really trying to find out why the prices were different on Sunday not to dispute about my son. BUT since I did mention him...I didn't go into full details about my unsureness about bringing him and I still won't but I will add this to my thought process on questioning if he will "aprreciate" it....is because he is going through those fun teenager days that most parents have to expierence at some point and I don't want to reward him for his behavior lately. :headache: That's my major reason. So for that reason when I go he is just gonna have to miss that trip all together.

I wasn't trying to compare it to the Disney museum I just made that reference because in other posts I have read about how there are pics of Walt etc...(I know I saw a post by BJD talking about that and it moved me very much) and I want to look at all of that while I know my son wouldn't. So basically I will take this opportunity to soak it in without kids and hopefully will get the chance to go again and enjoy it with my kids so I can point out all the special things. (only with my son if he is on better behavior ;) )

I was raised with a Godmother who loves Disney as well and most areas of her house are Disney related including the glass window on her Front door. She has a room dedicated to Disney, her christmas tree is all Mickey ornaments & topper, she has Wyland Disney themed paintings etc... So we too have been raised in the magic of Disney. I wish my house could be Disney'd out but unfortunatley my husband is not a fan like me :sad2: so the only spot I can get away with it is a small Curio and my kitchen.

BJD I bet you have some great Disney memorabilia since your Uncle worked with Walt.

Thanks again everyone! :goodvibes

Does anyone know how I could get into Club 33?
We are WDW vets venturing to California in Nov and I would live to check it out but I don't know anyone who is a member.

A member would have to invite you and make a reservation on your behalf.

That's what I figured.
Are there members on the DIS that are willing to make sure reservations?
I wasn't sure of the protocol or if there is a forum for such requests.

I have never seen a forum for such requests but there seems to be many people making requests right now. I am not a member but the members are responsible for the guests when they are there.

My impression that many of the requests are not filled for those bucket list people, some are. If you search you will find many.

Many people who post here have been waiting years to get an invite to the l
club and some requests are granted. I have seen more requests granted to those who a really Disney people oppossed to the bucket list folks.

I wish everyone luck to those who enjoy Disneyland and Disney withtheir pursuit to an invitation, they are very hard to come by.

Those photos bring tears to my eyes. Could there be any more magical TRUE Disney experience than Club 33??! I don't think so! That place is full of the essence of Walt Disney himself! Maybe someday!

It only took me 20 years of patiently waiting to finally get the opportunity. :confused3

Wow! So you are 20 years old, right?? :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

It's okay, I plan to retire working at Disneyland, I just HAVE to be part of it! There is something so incredibly magnetic to me about helping to provide the magic for all those people...would move in a heartbeat to be there now, but DH doesn't think Anaheim is a safe place to raise kids...honestly, with all the crime going on right now, I can't say I blame him! :scared: But yea, we visit every year at least (3 times this year!! YES!) and we'll move there when the kids are grown and gone, so I've got LOTS of time! Maybe by the time I'm an old lady! HA! :upsidedow

I didn't know about it until 1992 ... otherwise I would have been waiting a lot longer. :rotfl2:.
My first trip was as an adult in 1984 .... I used to watch the Wonderfull World of Disney as a kid and remember Walt "showing off" Disneyland ... I was hooked then but had to wait ... we lived far from DL and WDW and it was never a priority for my parents to take me or my sisters there.
