Club 33 doorbell

Just FYI...Members don't need to press the button and use the intercom. They simply pass their Membership Card over the 33 logo MagicBand NFC-like, and the logo changes color and the door unlocks for them. This also gives the receptionist inside the Member's name and other info on their screens, so the Member can be greeted by name.

Oh, maybe that is what she did and I just assumed she pressed the bell. I was standing back a ways in awe that the door was really going to open ;)

With Disney I love how everything is named, like all that was, was a courtyard area but it wasn't just any court yard it's Court de Angels. So if someone were to direct you somewhere it's not pass the blue courtyard and "this" will be on your right. It's so specific, even on rides.

That is so nifty.

Yea I couldn't believe I had passed this awesome secret club so many times growing up and visiting Disney at least once a year. I had to take a picture with the sign.
I didn't even think to do that. I should have!

I would bet there are plenty of casual visitors who dont know anything about club 33 who might see that doorbell and wonder what its for. And some likely push it to see. It is Disneyland after all, hands on is generally expected around the park.

Just to clarify, when the card is used, the member's info appears on their screens, and they can unlock the door from their seat. It won't just unlock if there isn't a receptionist there.

ding-dong ditch is probably the closest I'll ever get. I had never considered it before-but now the thought is out there floating around like a spectre waiting to literally force my hand...or that will be my excuse if I ever do it
