I've never been to DL and I just got the bad news, I'm not excpected to live more than 3 years. Brain Cancer. Of course I'll fight it to the end. BUT, that being said, I want to visit DL, I'm a huge fan of Disneyworld. I have been visiting Disney almost every single week for the last 9 years on top of going yearly since I was 4 years old(1975) I would like to get in the club to buy a Club 33 pin, I realize the rules about being able to even get through the front door. I'll never be rich enough and I certainly may not have the time. I have looked online, even ebay to buy a pin, but I can't trust that they are real. I want it put in my urn with my ashes. Any Ideas?:confused3

Sorry to hear about you problem and our prayers go with you. I would get in touch with www.dreamfoundation.org. The maybe able to help.

If you wish to buy a pin and not actually dine at the club, I would suggest getting in touch with park management or the manager of Club 33 itself.

You can also send an email to the (now retired) longtime bartender, Dr. Lee, who keeps a blog with contact info here:
http://drleeclub33.blogspot.com/

Rather than ask him to help you, I would suggest asking him who would be the best person to contact and how to reach that person.

Good luck and best wishes.

Oh, Dear, I am very sorry to hear about your news, it must feel very frightening for you to have to go through all of this! I hope someone will be able to help you out, and that you will be able to dine there.

Thank you for your help, I can't even explain what this means to me. I was actually considering standing outside the front door and explaining my situation to every person that walked in the door to see if they would just let me in the front door.....I'm sure you guy's know how hard that would have been.....:worship:

I don't have answers for you, but I wanted to wish you the best in your fight.

Two notes here...

First, 99.9% of those entering the door would not be able to let you even walk in the front door. (Only a member could.) I have been known to hold the door open longer/wider than needed so someone could see inside, but the receptionist would frown big time if I tried to let someone step inside.

Second, as of NYE, they were out of the Club 33 pins. I would hate for you to go through all this and find out they were out of pins. I will keep my eyes open the next time we are there to see if they have restocked.

What an interesting item to want to put in your urn. I would write to Disney directly. I'm sorry to hear about your illness. I hope the doctor's are wrong and you have a full life ahead of you. Never Ever Give Up (NEGU!)

I am so sorry about your diagnosis - I hope you are able to get your wish met. Are you receiving Hospice services? I am a hospice nurse in WI and we have a program that helps patients fulfill their wishes. We would never be able to guarantee something like Club 33, but we do our best and sometimes can make those types of dreams come true.

I noticed no one mentioned this but at least in the old days on the Walk in Walt's footsteps tour you could get in the lobby of club 33 and we were even able to take pics in the elevator. So if you were also interested in seeing at least THAT much of it you could do that tour and esp if you are a Disney lover and not been to DL that much you might enjoy the rest of the tour very much.

Good luck getting your pin and prayers to you in your fight!

That's still part of the tour.

"This tour includes a peek into the lobby of the exclusive, members only Club 33...."

We took the tour may of last year, and the Club 33 lobby was still part of the tour.

Good luck with your quest for that pin.

I am so sorry to hear about your illness. My mom died last year of a brain tumor (Glioblastoma Stage 4 at diagnosis), and I was with her every step of the way. If you need a friend to talk to, please PM me.

You guys are awesome with all your information. I will check out the information on the tour, and write to Disney, would anyone have any knowledge of who I would contact in Operations? This is starting to get exciting!!!!!!

I just took the tour this week and it still includes a visit (with all the photos you can take) to the lobby of Club 33...and a tour exclusive "Walk in Walt's Footsteps pin.

Prayers sent to the OP.

Hello! I will be there for dinner at the end of this month and if there are pins there I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to get one for you. I will message you when I return from my trip :o)

I know it's not as exciting as a pin but I have ton of napkins with the club 33 logo on them from when I went in the 90's. If this is something you would like send me a pm and i will send you one or 2. I really hope someone with a membership sees this an offers to take you with them.
